  1. That's good news especially with the holidays around the corner. Maybe they are working hard to give vets good news for the holidays. Good luck and take care of yourself
  2. Congratulations on your claim. When did your decision and letters get posted online?
  3. I put in a claim around the middle of May for TDUI and it just reached the pending approval phase today! Hopefully I will hear something soon as well. Keep your head up and we should hear something soon. Moving forward.
  4. You're welcome and just look for things in life that you always wanted to do but never had the chance to do them. Also something that helped me was being around people that I kind of close to before I started having a lot of problems. I wish you the best and stay strong.
  5. Good morning! This is a very interesting post and nobody wants to feel alone in this world but it happens. I was in a very similar situation as a lot of other people replying to this post but now I am keeping things under control. I have been deployed four times to different combat zones and I thought I was fine with life until after my 3rd deployment. I noticed that nobody wanted to be around me because of my anger and I felt like the world owed me something for the things that I had seen and the horrific memories that were personal and intimate to me. I have lost soldiers on the battle field and off of the battle field and it's on my mind all day everyday, but I know that history repeats itself and I am glad to be a part of it. Everyone who serves in the military is unique in their own way because of what they have been through regardless of whether they went to combat or not. Their are good things that comes out of someone who feels as if life has their face pushed into the ground. I believe that is where you find redemption is when you have no more cards to play and you can take a good look at yourself and you either like the person you see or you fight to change it. Change is not easy because you have to reprogram the way you live and think in order to survive. You have survived the trauma and now the real WAR begins which is not letting trauma take over your life. I had so much anger after a few deployments and I couldn't get along with anybody and just wanted to take care of myself and nothing else because that's what I done during deployments was staying alive. I don't know of nobody that was born thinking negative or wanting to grow up alone and in fear. After the last deployment my body had been blown up and abused throughout the years but the baddest injury was to my mind thinking the negative all the time. I met someone and we began to talk and he realized that we were alike in so many ways so we stayed in touch and he is a good friend of mine now. History repeats itself and so many of us walk through the same door in life and forget to leave it open for others to feel welcomed and follow through it as well. I almost lost my family because of me not wanting to change my life and the way I wanted to live but we made it through. Sometimes I am not sure exactly how I feel about what I am feeling but recovery is not easy sometimes. When you feel you have reached the bottom of the barrel the only place you can go is up. Don't give up on the mental recovery after War and remember that you are not alone. I wish us all luck and I will continue to keep everyone in my prayers.
  6. Good to hear that all the exams are over for you as they bring a lot of stress sometimes. I got done with my last one just over a week ago and my claim moved up to the PFD phase on ebennies. I call to checked my status and they told me I should hear something within the next 60 days. Good luck and keep us posted about how things played out for you. Thanks
  7. I just learned something new about I SSDI was granted before va disability was filed. I was awarded 90% back in March of this year but I have been receiving SSDI ever since January of 2013. I received my first compensation deposit in April with no retro pay and I thought everything was normal. I filed for TDUI around the middle of May because I was working and on SSDI and the claim is currently in preparation for decision phase as of this morning.
  8. I understand what you mean about the whole situation. I am not sure why some vets get the forms mailed out or suggested by a representative and others have to learn and apply on their own means. It will all work itself out in the long run because sounds like you have a strong case and plenty of evidence to present on your behalf. I remember reading somewhere that if a service member is 70% or more for one condition that they can apply for TDUI. You will get it just be patient and keep us in the loop. Take care
  9. I am currently at 90% for ptsd and a bunch of other conditions as well. I filed for TDUI back in May of this year and my claim is currently in the PFD phase on ebenefits. I attached the ssdi award letter along with my TDUI form and I hope it makes a bigger impact on the decision soon. I have been reading a lot of responses from other vets and it seems like a lot of folks are getting the TDUI forms mailed to them because they were 70% for one condition. I had to file for mine once I found on this great website called www.hadit.com. Ill keep everyone posted and things move along. Good luck
  10. I take Gabapentin on a daily basis 4 times a day. I am currently on the 400mg capsules and I must say that it has its pros and cons. It did make me gain some extra weight and appetite as well. Sometimes when I awake first thing in the morning I have to sit on the edge of the bed to gather myself to prevent falling down.
  11. I am currently going through the same thing at the moment! I was initially awarded 70% for ptsd and 10% for Tbi as of January of this year. I received a zero for headaches and things of that nature, but back in May of this year I applied for TDUI and most of the items were for increases and I am in the preparation for decision phase at the moment and I hope to hear something within the next few months.
  12. Thank You and congrats on your award. I am sure you will stay on the top of everything and get what you deserve. Take care
  13. I am being compensated at the 90% rate at the moment. I appied for TDUI back in may of this year and what I am wondering is what ed will the Va use if an award is granted. February 2014-Initial award granted May 2014- Applied for Tdui When I check ebenfits it lists all of the items that I stated to make me unemployable as increases. What I'm wondering is will they use the February date or the May date.
  14. I have had 3 exams for increases within the last two weeks for TDUI my status has moved up to preparation for decision. I was initially awarded 90% around the beginning of this year and I applied for TDUI back in may. I was receving ssdi at the time of my first award but did not submit my award letter until May. I hope all of this will be taken into consideration and my claim gets approved. The examiner stated I can manage my own funds.
  15. I hope that everything works out for your situation and you get that BBE in the mail sometime during the holidays. My status just moved up to preparation for decision on 11 Nov. 2014 and it was only a day after my C&P exam. Good luck
  16. Keep your head up as you play the waiting game. I had 2 exams last week and they posted on my healthy vet within 3 working days. My e benefits status moved up to prep for decision around the same time. Although each office or location may be different it is something that everyone goes through in the process. Hopefully you will see some results by the middle of next week. Good Luck!
  17. Thanks for the replies. I also applied for voc rehab about 3 months ago now and all I received so far is one letter. The letter basically stated that my application was received and they are checking to see if I am qualified for voc rehab. I thought if a veteran was 30% or more they qualified.
  18. I applied for Tdiu on May 15, 2014 and I hope I get approved as this will help out a lot. I am 90% overall at the moment and I am sure this process takes about a year before a decision is rendered. I am currently on the gathering of evidence stage on ebenefits. Is their anything can do to help my situation or case? Thanks in advance.
  19. I just got my claim finished this week and I was looking on E benefits to download the award letter. I downloaded the award letter but I cannot find whether I am employable or unemployable. Is their a certain form or place I need to be checking? Thanks in advance.
  20. Thank you for the info! I am looking into it now.
  21. Does anyone have the information to apply for CRSC? I am qualified and I just got my official ratings back, now it is time to push forward. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  22. I checked on the tab that says download VA letters and its in there. I got out of the service last month so I am a little shocked to see that they are done. I hope everyone else's goes that fast as well.
  23. Two days ago my e benefits was saying pending decision approval as well. I just checked it again and it states that the claim got closed out yesterday, so I am assuming they will send something out in the mail stating details. Keep checking it because mine moved like three or four steps in a matter of days. Good Luck.
  24. Does anyone have the requirements and how to file for CRSC?
