I typed really Lord to say not by might nor by power, but by Your Spirit Lord I finally can see Job 42 blessing after the storm of fighting for my va appeal decision.  Am currently at 90% sc. 40% back & 50% feet.  With secondary knees from back & secondary from feet. I fought since 2011 for the higher rating for my back which was 10% which received the higher rating to 40% in August & received my secondary knees due to back & then feet went from 30 to 50, with knees secondary.  Which I received 800+ in August due to u was receiving pension, so didn't get a high retro. 
 
Well, my TDIU claim was remanded from the va appeal at the bva appeal court.  Well, today I called the 1800 nuber to be told oh they remanded your claim. However, ebenefits said my bva appeal claim was complete on 30 Nov.  Still no changed seen on my ebenefits letters , which still showed 90%. I said well Lord you have another plan. Because Iris email said one minute I qualify for commisary privileged then another mail said oh we made a mistake. 
Well, the BBE came today said that my bva decision was granted for each appeal. Which, was for back, knees & tdui. Which I already received the back & knees, but I receive the granted decision for my unemp claim, which the paper stated that from March 2011 I should be granted T unemp. Which was a thank yo Lord moment. 
 
Not sure when I will receive anything such as retro or update info at RO in St. Pete. But to type all this is just to say, "though the answer tarry wait for it. In due time it shall be appointed to you". When I gets hard to bear, may the Lord grant you the strenght to press on.

Praise God Sergent Q, please don't feel that you are taking away from me....the greatest joy is lifting others up. And no money can bring that type of joy....I am praising God for your victory. Trust that even with this great news the enemy is fight against me in other areas that were affected by my health & financial lack. My desire is all of you to receive not only retro & granted claims but that total restoration comes in your lives. In relationships, mind, heart and all that concerns you. Due to this health issue & not working marriage has been through, & you would think this good news is good right. Well, my husband isnt celebrating. I think he is tired, which I get it, so that's why I say I pray for God to bless all fellow veterans who have sacrifice so much & still sacrifice,  God grant you all the Christ-Mas spirit of release in funds & love. God bless you all my fellow brothers & sisters, you have suffered a while, may God bless you all. And I pray for you all. And please pray for me in marriage & financially release, so I could give my daughter who is five a good Christmas to which I never gave before. She wants to go to a hotel...lol. But not so easy to do, I try to pray for the VA system and employees as well, too.

I don't want to take away from help7777 victory - congratulations and that's right on time for holidays. Oh what a friend we have in Jesus! He knows - even when we don't. He comes - even when we don't call. He was there for you and he will be there for us too. So CONGRATULATIONS - GO ENJOY THE PEACE OF MIND. No amount of RETRO in the world can beat that. Sometimes I think those raters lose our claims in the paper work on there desk and forget what claims they are working and get confused  and make a lot of mistakes.
 Every veteran should  down load those documents on ebennnys as to what they mention about our claims  make copies and keep all letters they send....incase we need to prove what was said  we have our proof. 
Keep all your evidence/documents in a safe dry place for at least until the 20 year rule  then your safe.

I've been denied, now in remand and fighting this fight since Dec 2010. My soul is weak, spirit is tired. But I think your message just gave me the strength to run on and see what the end will bring. May the blessings of the Lord be with each of you. It's a few versess in the bible I have been thinking on, "hope deferred makes the heart sick, but the answer is a tree of life, also trust in the Lord with all thine heart lean not to your own understanding in all of your ways acknowledge him & he shall make your path straight." This journey is not for the faint in heart, but for those who will endure to the end. As we all go through this process we are each other battle buddy, when you need strength you can lean on the other. When one is too wounded we help dress the wound & keep on the mission. I'll be posting here as "Snake Eyes" -- not the Marvel Comics GI Joe character. I earned the name because of an eye problem that cause people to wonder who I'm talking to. A fellow soldier slapped that nickname on me back in the 70s and it stuck. I'll share my VA journey as appropriate in the forums... I just wanted to say, "Hi" and introduce myself.

I retired in 1992 after 21 years in the army. Half in signal and half in public affairs. I just received an award letter rating me at 90% -- on a claim I submitted upon retirement from the army. Because the denial letter way back then said, "This decision is final", I assumed it meant all the stuff about filing appeals did not apply to me. With no VSO to tell me otherwise, I dropped it until 20 years later when I casually mentioned my symptoms to a VSO we were talking to seeking help for my father in-law. He encouraged me to file to have the claim reopened. Of course, the VA denied it again without reviewing the documentation we sent -- and then reopened it again to process it correctly.

As I've gone through this process, I have to say the folks on HadIt and other vet sites have been an inspiration. Thanks for sharing your experiences. Hopefully, I'll contribute something that blesses a fellow vet during my visits here.
