HadIt.com Elder allan Posted December 5, 2007 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted December 5, 2007 OK. That went just like I expected it to. Talk about rude people. If there was a door open through this contact, (AMC Director Russo's office. 1- 202- 530- 9455 Ask to speak to Diane Winston)it was slammed shut by a rude conversation with fizz Sanders..............and "YOU" vets need to go through the "800" number. fizz Winston can't get her work done by being interfered with. Nice touch! A simple,(i'll let her know you called) apparently is way out of line. Next............. will try some of the other contacts. Don't care to speak with anymore mizz Sanders. I don't think she would have been so rude without Diane expressing how much she dislikes being asked for assistance. L8R
vaf
Email Arnold Russo, Director of the AMC: arnold.russo@va.gov. Set your e-mail program to provide you with a read receipt. I just got one this morning from an e-mail I sent last night. I don't know if HE opened his own mail, but at least I've got a read receipt in the event it's time for a writ of mandamus, and I see that coming pretty soon. L8R Allen, I believe that if you call Michael Walcoff's office, you will find the converation to be on a much more calmer atmosphere. Here is his telephone number - 1- 202- 461- 9340 This old lady just isn't used to anyone calling her number. She knows that the toll free number, those guys have little knowledge of what is going on with your claim. Ken Smith has been a very pleasant person to speak to and actually I have had Erica pull up my claims file. As he explained to me, his job is to see that veterans claims are processed. He was my first contact, as I couldn't handle that old bitty on the phone, but I did find Ms. Moye at Honorable Coopers Office to be extremely pleasant and she does have authority of claims. I will give you her private telephone number. 1- 202-273-7453. I highly recommend Ms. Moye, as she does not make you feel as you are begging. As to what a Coach is, I have no ideal. I know that they can access your claim and can call shots on it. Give either one of them a phone call. I see that VAF has provided you also with some valuable information. Thanks, Vickie. hurryupnwait
Im not understanding what a coach does at the AMC. Are Vets supposed to be assigned to one? Hi Allan I think a coach is more or less a supervisor. This is from "A 21st Century System for evaluating disability claims" Rating Team5 The rating team makes decisions on claims that require consideration of medical evidence. Rating VSRs (RVSRs) on the rating team rate claims that have been certified by the predetermination team as “ready to rate.” They may prepare a rating for partial grant if there is insufficient evidence to rate all of a veteran’s medical conditions (referred to as issues), but there is sufficient evidence to make an award on one or more issues. In such a case, the rating specialist rates the issue(s) ready to be rated, prepares a separate deferred rating for the unresolved issues, and returns the claims file to the predetermination team for further development. Personnel on the rating team include a * coach (GS-13); * assistant coach (GS-12); * RVSR (GS-12); and * claims assistant (GS-6). I do think that if you know the name of someone that is a supervisor (coach)or higher, their email address is going to be First name . last name @va.gov Happy Trails Paul Edited December 5, 2007 by hurryupnwait When I count my blessings I count my family and friends twice.
