Question
tanker31
I have been helping a friend with his claim. All has gone well up to this point. My friend has had his C&P exams ( PTSD, Hearing, and agent orange exposure ). We obtained a copy of all the C&P exams, and were pleased with what the examiners had to report ( verified PTSD, hearing loss, etc...). We filed his claim in October 2005. C&P exams were conducted in March 06. We called the 800 number to get an up date on the claim in April 06. Person at the 800 number said the claim had been " sent for final review--call back in 30 days" ( which was on the 26th of May---we called ). Person at the 800 number that we spoke to on the 26th of May--the 30 day window ( yesterday ), now advises that the claim has been sent to the " MILITARY UNIT " for review/verification. Since I have not seen this term ( MILITARY UNIT ) before in the decision making process nor have I ever seen it here on Hadit, can anybody verify this process or termenology?
Thanks to all
