Anyone Here Actually Rated More Than 0% For Hearing Loss?

Question

My wife was sick and tired of repeating herself so she insisted I go to the VA. It was no secret that my hearing was bad. Failed tests at work every year. I worked on the flight deck of a carrier from 88'.-92'. SO I went.

I did some research online and it seems that a vet rated higher then 0% for hearing loss is as rare as hens teeth.

I was actually denied for my hearing even though I show hearing loss within the VA criteria. It seems that My exit hearing test in 1992 showed no hearing loss..... I don't recall taking an exit test.

Has anyone here actually been successful in claiming hearing loss and got a rating higher than 0%?

Stillhere. Wow. I'm surprised your only at 70%. You are essentially deaf.

Your good ear is where my bad ear is and your bad ear is useless.

I personally feel you should have a 100% rating.

To me that just bs. I hate to use words like that but yea I'm pretty PO, d

Btw I played with Huskys calc and it peformed very well.

The only observation I had on the negative is it did not one up my rating of my left ear for being under 30 at 1000 and over 70 at 2000.

It kept saying my 2011 results were 20% when in reality I was rated at 30%

I gotta question. I've noticed that for the past two months my left ear has become flakey and scaley. I thought maybey it was sunburned but its not going away.

Anyone know if this has anything to do with hearing loss?

Killemal

You may have otitis externa (swimmers ear) you can get from the hearing aids and also if you have DM II you can get it as well. If you do and it is chronic you can get 10% for it. By chronic I mean you get it get rid of it and it comes back.
