What To Wear To C + P

Rate this question

Mikemmlj

Question

I wear the same clothes almost everyday jeans and a plaid shirt-literally the same jeans and shirt everyday. I am thinking I should dress up a little for the C+P so they don't think I'm intentionally dressing down? But on the other hand people say be yourself . 3 days to C + P!

If they ask about childhood problems, unless they have proof to the otherwise, I would say my childhood was great. I only started to have symptoms during service and shorty after service that continue to this day. Work, relationships were great before military and bad afterwards.

Your goal should be to show them your worst day. If they ask how you are and you say "fine or good" they will be deaf to anything else you say. They watch you from the minute they see you until even "after" you leave their office. I caught my examiner watching me after I'd left. She tried to get me to use the back stairway, as it was supposedly shorter, on my back and TDIU exam.

All great advice given above, and the Docs for Psych do tend to write down, whether, you look nice, smell good or well groomed. It is not that Vets should fake it, but that we should not overdo it either. Good luck either way bud.

Okay, that's good you already have your PTSD diagnosis by VA and treatment for it by VA as well.

I see so many vets get denied because they don't have the PTSD diagnosis by VA.

Have you read up on all the procedures for how they verify your stressor?

MST falls under personal assault which is a special category.

Read this. http://www.benefits.va.gov/WARMS/docs/admin21/m21_1/mr/part4/subptii/ch01/M21-1MRIV_ii_1_SecD.doc

If you have another stressor in addition to the MST, please read up on how they verify that type of stressor.

I know it's hard to go through this and so I want you to get as prepared as possible so hopefully you can be approved this time
