BakerGeckos
Funny thing I went to a federal park and paid for entrance and I got permanent handicap plates on the car. The next day we went to another federal park and because he saw my plates, he asked and I answered a couple of questions. Next thing I new I had a card handed me and a pamphlet explaining my benifits....I was shocked...I have used it well since.. mike Buck52
HadIt.com Elder Chuck75 Posted January 2, 2015 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted January 2, 2015 Anyone who has documentation of permanent disability (civilian or veteran) can obtain free access to national parks at www.nps.gov Not exactly! You can do it in person at a Park site that issues the "Access Pass", Or by mail, with a $10 fee for "processing" Starting 1/1/2015 Only a credit card can be used for the by mail application. You must also include copies of the documentation that shows your residence (State Driver's License), and a VA Disability Award Letter, or SSDI Award Letter. and maybe the DOD card showing that you are a disabled veteran. Nov 2nd 2007 American Military University ! When thousands of Americans faced annihilation in the 1800s Chief Osceola's response to his people, the Seminoles, was simply "They(the US Army)have guns, but so do we." Sameo to us -They (VA) have 38 CFR ,38 USC, and M21-1- but so do we.
