0 georgiapapa
You are welcome. The 100% you saw on ebenefits is probably your total combined rating which would be correct with 100% PTSD and your previous award of 30% for carpal tunnel. Good luck. 0 Guest
your 100% P&T Then if no future exams are schedule. The only thing is just wait until you get your Award Letter And see what they say how they rated you. IF They rated you TDIU P&T with no future exams then you can't work...or they will propose to reduce you to back to 0% or back to the 30%. The above statement is not true. If the veteran is working VA will reduce his/her combine rating and he/she would be rated at 80% without the TDIU. ( 30% and what ever they rate his/her PTSD). Veterans awarded TDIU can get a MWR ID card for commissary and PX privileges and still not be P & T. VA rarely grants P & T for a mental health issue. It happens but VA looks a depression/PTSD as a curable disability. Edited February 5, 2015 by pete992 MPsgt
0 Navy04
Congrats on the award bud, but I have to agree with Pete on this one. You should do whatever is best for you and your family, just always remember that the VA will look for any reason to take away what we deserve. I myself am up for a PTSD review next week, and I was just awarded the 70% last year. I am 100% VA and do not work, yet I am nervous as heck. You might want to wait until you get your award letter. Reason 70%+30% does not add up to 100% in VAs funny math. It only adds up to a combined 80%. So unless you have some other ratings it is really

Yes!!! Because you are 100% with the VA doesn't mean you can't work. Now, if you were 80% and then awarded TDIU then they would question if your working. Being 100% means your service-connected injuri

With a lot of caveats, it's a big maybe. You indicated that likely 70% is due to PTSD. This is the sticky point. In general a VA "mental disability" award can preclude working. But, there are a bunch
