Sad news, a sailor died today. Our brother Stretch has passed away. The details will follow. Stretch has been on hadit.com so long even I don't remember when he joined, before 2005 that's for sure.

Stretch so believed in our mission that he dedicated endless hours of his own time reading the forum and answering questions where he could. He also volunteered and was the sole technical expert for our podcast and he volunteered his time freely because of him we have archives of the podcasts back to 2010.

I am writing my memoirs and would love it if you could help a shipmate out and look at it.

I've had a few challenges, perhaps the same as you. I relate them here to demonstrate that we can learn, overcome, and find purpose in life.

The stories can be harrowing to read; they were challenging to live. Remember that each story taught me something I would need once I found my purpose, and my purpose was and is HadIt.com Veterans.

I never had the pleasure meeting stretch but we communicated here on hadit and after I had talked to him a few times we became instant friends, and I got some great advise from him that I'll always remember Stretch was my kind of people.

I been thinking about him a lot this last week.

He will be surely missed here on Hadit We as veterans have lost a great friend & brother , some people come and go in our lives and some touch our lives by the way they lived and stretch was one that touch all of us here at hadit.

I am very proud I got to visit with him and very proud we became good friends here on Hadit.

RIP My fellow Veteran & God Bless

This is terrible news.

With all he dealt with, I think that more recent diagnosis took him down. He will be missed very much.

Mike not only helped vets with claims, he also as Jbasser said, was the technician at the radio show here for many many years and did a great job .

I hope his family finds peace ,because I know Mike is now in a better place without suffering and he would want them to go on with their lives and be happy.

We are here for his spouse , if she needs any help with VA matters, because he sure was here for us.

My pastor put him on the prayer list at my church ,some time ago, and every Wednesday night we prayed for him and all on the list to include all AD, and all veterans..We will all pray for his survivors now.

simply "They(the US Army)have guns, but so do we."

Sameo to us -They (VA) have 38 CFR ,38 USC, and M21-1- but so do we.
