It's all in semantics!

What is the definition of "accuracy" in VA speak?

Perhaps "We're right until proven wrong"?

And - -

"If we don't define the way we arrived at the percentages, how can they dispute them?"

By preselecting data, you can "prove" almost anything you want.

Agreed, data manipulation seems to be an art form at the va. from the medical centers to the regional offices.

I bet they are tipped off by IG prior to a claims inspection and the claims the IG inspect for accuracy are polished... remember.. it all falls on the commander in chiefs responsibility in the end, as the big picture,, so nobody in the whole bean count is really trying to find problems in the system. In the end, it reflects badly on the head shed..

I imagine that is part of what is slowing up my Hardship claim, too. No time to work on 'regular' claims, too busy trying to shift the backlog, so keep pushing completion dates on current claims so they aren't 'due to be completed yet, my completion date has shifted 4 times now to later dates since filed in September 14.

I don't know, guys. I think I'd rather the response be accurate to the condition, evidence and appropriate percentage than fast and appeal required. I'm still in appeal for a bad rating from 2004. NOD to remand: 8 1/2 years. Remand to C&P: 1 year, 9 months. Still waiting for results even after an email to the Secretary's office. Still, if it's accurate I'm done. I think shifting them to the deny/appeal process moves them out of the spotlight as you mentioned above...
