Does anybody else remember the talk about this years back?

http://archive.armytimes.com/article/20120911/NEWS/209110319/VA-falls-behind-disability-ratings-overhaul

There was talk about revising the compensation tables to not only reflect loss in economic ability but loss of quality of life, etc.

It seemed like in 2012 they were already behind schedule, so i think the overhaul has been pushed back further and in light of them having 'budgetary issues" this year.  This is also known as the VA wasting billions then complaining they are short billions...remember they are the ones right now blaming old financial management software on why they couldnt budget themselves....but they also spent half a billion to develop new financial management software and today have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, and by nothing i mean NOTHING to show for that expenditure.  Half a Billion and nothing not even a Beta prototype.  so its interesting they blame their bad financial management because they mismanaged the money meant to help them manage their money...only the VA....

It seems like this could be good, but could also be a way for the VA to screw over folks as well.+

I have not heard anything. However, the current budget disaster is probably by design and right on schedule, sadly...

I ain't heard nothing on this  but in my opinion the VA Spending starts at the top ''congress'' as Bob McDonald as to answer to them and when those senators starts raising there voice at him in a house meeting  Bob chokes...from what I've seen anyway on the news.

When Bob decides to put his foot down and tries to turn this thing around and get good management within the VA...CONGRESS will get rid of him.

Congress is the problem.& if the truth was known most of the $$$  is going into those congressman's pocket.

I think we are years away from any change in the pay schedule, there would need to be a study, proposal, suggested change to the compensation section of the statute posted on the Federal Register, comments and concerns received, addressed, changes made, re-posted on the Federal Register, same drill as last time it was posted, meanwhile the House and Senate Committees on Veterans Affairs would get involved, special interest groups, etc.

I can't imagine any agreement would be quick and easy given the current dysfunction of our legislators

they already conducted a study, which was favorable to veterans, congress commissioned a new one, and ended up with more favor for vets and then sh**canned the whole discovery process.  They do studies until something that is more palatable to them is found.

I heard about it and it was over due years ago it was something that included expediting DIC claims and paying DIC as a percentage of what The Vet got mot the fixed rate it is snow.

Veterans deserve real choice for their health care.
