HadIt.com Elder Buck52 Posted December 19, 2015 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted December 19, 2015 Anybody know if we can get travel pay when we have a PTSD C&P?My reason for asking I may get one here in the next month or two a veteran at my VAMC mention to me that they are not doingPTSD C&P at our VAMC..We have to go to a different location.....its is about 50 miles away vs 22 miles from my VAMC. 0 Navy04 Posted December 20, 2015 Share Posted December 20, 2015 Yes, when I have gone to the Civilian Doc for the C&Ps, the VA always mails me a Check. 50 miles isnt too bad, my Exams are either 200 or 300 miles round trip. Also, after I was SC, I tried to get travel pay reimbursements for all of the preceding visits. My VAMC only allows veterans to file for travel for appointments within the last 30 calendar days. Buck, Andyman is right. If you have a combined rating of 30% or higher, you get travel pay for any VA appointment. All veterans can claim travel pay for C & P appointments regardless of rating.
