0 HadIt.com Elder john999 Posted August 20, 2016 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted August 20, 2016 Now you want to stay in treatment at the VA. If you are not P&T you want to get it. If you have scheduler 100% the VA should consider you for Housebound. Take advantage of all state benefits of 100%. Consider conditions that may be secondary to your SC conditions. It is almost always worth it to get secondary conditions SC'ed. One of those conditions might kill you and then your death is service connected. If you have spouse this is a big deal. No matter how badly they treat you stay in treatment for SC conditions. I went from 10% in 1973 to TDIU p&t with two SMC's including housebound. Time moves along and I added 7 SC conditions along the way due to agent orange. I did not know squat about AO in 1980 or 1990 because I had no symptoms of AO disease. Then the VA included DMII and 7 more SC disabilities mostly secondary and maybe more to come if I get paid for it. I don't care about 10% for hearing, but do care about 50% for OSA perhaps. 0 Christheexplorer
Excellent advice, thank you. My awards letter said that my 100% PTSD rating is "not permanent as the condition may improve through treatment, and subject to further examination" So from what other vets are saying, this condtion will be evaluated by C&P exams on a yearly basis, for 5 years before it is made permanent. Is that correct? Also - when I file a claim for my secondary issues (depression, anxiety, schitzoeffective disorder ) should I do so by submitting a NoD and appealing my existing claim, or should I file a new one - does it matter? To the poster above thanks for your service, being around and effected by AO makes me greatful that I served during my era, we didn't have to worry about being harmed from out own side. Stay Strong. 0 Christheexplorer
Your claim wasn't evaluated yearly, it was re-evaluated after 5 years?
0 Andyman73
I've had a few SCDs that went 10 yrs without being re-evaluated. I guess it's hit or miss.
0 Gastone
Your Scheduler 100% SC for PTSD, not a combined Rating, right? NO IU Rating involved? Any mention in your Award Letter regarding a possible Fiduciary Appointment? I know you mentioned your $6K Retro Deposit, it's just that a 100% PTSD Vet, who may or may-not be homeless and may or may-not have RX or other Dependency issues, is usually a prime candidate for a VA Fiduciary Appointment. 0 Christheexplorer
Hey good morning. They did include a 1-liner saying that I was found capable of managing my own finances. The prime disability was PTSD, with secondary mdd, anxiety, add, bi polar.

Well that makes sense. I'm about to lose my cool with those gd QTC ladies. They just talk out of both sides of their mouth, and make it look so easy. How do you "ALWAYS ask that all my issues are

I gratefully appreciate that. I didn't want to strangle an examiner, since that would not be good. It's hard to prepare for a QTC examiner whose job it is to just delay you for another year and they d
