0 wisconsinwalter
I too called the President hotline and had a pleasant experience. Total talk hold was 24 mins. 10 on hold. It is to the Secretary office I stand corrected on this not being the Presidents plan. I was informed it was. She said Shulkin came down to see what the prevailing issues were and this one was one of the most complained about. Shulkin is meeting with the President today and bringing it to his attn. thanks Marina53 for bring it up with the number. I also made a complaint about having to drop my knee replacement for a deal for P&T. A specialist is supposed to call me about it. 0 HadIt.com Elder jbasser Posted June 2, 2017 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted June 2, 2017 We did this show to bring awareness to a potential disaster scenario for veterans receiving IU and SSDI. I have been predicting events like this over the past several years. The CBO is a think tank that always brainstorms ways to for the Government to save Money. They are also tasked with the financial side for Bills by giving estimated costs for all bills. Their recommendations are really interpeted into each congressional piece of legislation. This time Mulvaney has really proposed a budget that shows an increase to the Dept of veterans Affairs by adding to the VHA and taking from the VBA. The improvements are Choice Card, Hiring Doctors and No Choice Card extension. Anyone tried to use the choice card? The cuts to the VBA are IU compensation when a Veteran reaches age 62. This is still in the Congress as of this morning. If someone said It had passed the house then there was mistake made. If I did say that I was wrong and Apologize to the audience. Now is the time to act to show your representatives that you do not agree with this Proposal. All of the Big Veterans Organizations are against it. This budget also indicates SSDI will also be cut as it is known by the politicians as a form of welfare according to Mulvaney. This means if you are a disabled bet under 62 and receiving SSDI you will be re evaluated by the SSDI in an attempt to sever your benefits. Also keep in mind that the Political Structure in DC has changed and things like this are more likely to pass then they were in previous years. 0 HadIt.com Elder Buck52 Posted June 2, 2017 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted June 2, 2017 I went back and listen to the hadit show 6-1-17 at 7:00pm edt. I still can't figure out what jerrel mention as here is what he mention or didn't mention ''This Bill has ''went through'' the house or did he say This Bill ''went to'' the house? My apology if I up-set a lot of veterans on here.....the only thing I know is this is still a proposal and its yet to be voted on and passed and when and if it reaches the President desk he will get with Dr Shulkin The new VA Secretary and discuss this issue...and hopefully Vito this Bill and knowing how good a Business Man the President is &what he promised us Veterans he will be for us veterans. 0 HadIt.com Elder Buck52 Posted June 2, 2017 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted June 2, 2017 Jbasser, Jerrel Cook & Bill Did a great show last night and covered a lot of topic's especially the IU Topic , please go to the hadit podcast radio show 6-1-17 and listen to this show it should clear up some things. Again my Apology if I Mis informed everyone. I just can't hear worth a damn anymore(EVEN WITH A GOOD SET OF HEADPHONES) and yes I've been S.C. and rated for my bad hearing from my Vietnam service Matter of fact I am one of the 7000 vets in question on TDIU P&T. if this Bill goes through I am not sure how I will be effected? b/c I have other separate ratings/10% AND 70% MIXED IN WITH MY 90%COMBINED RATING FOR THE TDIU P&T WITH 2 SMC's and I now have a final degree of 100% According to the VA. but if this Bill is passed I could very well lose all this and go back to the 90% combined rating before the IU? IT'S GOING TO SCREW UP A LOT OF VETERANS IF THIS BILL PASSES.

This is not the 1st time IU has been on the chopping block. The Bean Counters see a very large savings by eliminating and or cutting IU to Vets that also receive SS Bennies. In the past, the prop
