0 allansc2005
Buck this is for an increase, the VA hasn't denied any claims for my conditions concerning my back. *Nee Medical will do the DBQ using an orthopedic surgeon once I provide the medical history, etc. Allan 2-2-0 HUAH! *Nee medical affiliates advertises here on hadit.com
0 HadIt.com Elder Buck52 Posted September 24, 2017 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted September 24, 2017 Increase Roger That,I realize that. However, you will need a good Medical rational (medical opinion in detail) showing the increase in your disability and you need a specialist to give his/her opinion or impression that your S.C.Disability your claiming has indeed got worse. I am not an Attorney or VSO, any advice I provide is not to be construed as legal advice, therefore not to be held out for liable BUCK!!!
0 allansc2005
Buck, I will see the final DBQ before I submit it, and will more than likely throw it up here on hadit for comments. Maybe Berta, bronco..will have a good look at it and comment on it. Allan 2-2-0 HUAH!
0 Gastone
If the DBQ (VA or Private Dr.) is received by your RO Rating Dept and is considered "N & M Evidence" it could and should trigger a C & P Exam. Give the VA Directives regarding DBQ completion and delivery to RO Rating Dept a read. When a Vet requests a DBQ from a VAMC Treating Physician., other than a MH Dept Psychiatrist or Psychologist, the Dr. is instructed to give the Vet a copy of the completed DBQ and to forward a copy immediately to the RO Rating Dept. Why are you concerned about a possible SC Reduction being triggered by an Increase C & P Exam DBQ?
0 allansc2005
Gastone, I never indicated I was "concerned about a possible SC Reduction..", what I wrote is what I read and heard about. So having said this, have you heard of, or know about a DBQ triggering a C&P exam that lead to a veteran getting his/her SC % decreased? Allan 2-2-0 HUAH! 0 HadIt.com Elder john999 Posted September 25, 2017 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted September 25, 2017 Every c&p exam could start a process of getting a decrease in a rating , but no one exam is supposed to be enough to reduce you. The VA has to show you have become significantly better to reduce you. I would not worry about being reduced and go for that good IMO that more or less parrots what the DBQ says to get you a higher rating. Which exact symptoms will get you to the highest level of back disability? You should also consider filing a claim for depression because they go hand in hand with back issues/chronic pain. Many ways to skin the cat. People with disabilities can be depressed and not even recognize it. You behavior will show it especially to those close to you. Depression/anxiety would be secondary to the back injury.

pwrslm, thanks for your expertise and great advice. I'm at 20% lower lumbar, and 10% radiculopathy by the way. 190% overall. Allan 2-2-0 HUAH!
