Question
Berta
Our local VAMC passed 900 inspection issues recently and got a Gold Seal of Approval from JHACO.
Bath VAMC has 12,500 patients -inpatient admissions were 1,900 of these vets in 2006.
Althought this hospital has always had the consistently highest rating for cleanliness in the Nation-and excelled in many other ways-
It was their medical errors well over a decade ago that caused my husband to die. That was due to a few doctors and certainly not all-
Some of the best people I ever met work there-
This VAMC has come a long way.
They just got a new 16 slice CT scanner-and they have a new museum on the grounds.
Their alcohol and drug abuse program is excellent and the grounds are just gorgeous. The cemetery is very well maintained.
They used to have one of the BEST PTSD shrinks in the east coast but he retired. I only hope they have someone now who was as good as he was.
Since I gripe so much about their malpractice on Rod I sure wanted to share this news with you- full story is in the Corning Leader.
As a former VA employee at this same VAMC -Rod would be proud of the facility and what it is today.

When thousands of Americans faced annihilation in the 1800s Chief
Osceola's response to his people, the Seminoles, was
simply "They(the US Army)have guns, but so do we."
Sameo to us -They (VA) have 38 CFR ,38 USC, and M21-1- but so do we.
