Claim Status
The claim status and historical claims has moved from ebenefits to va.gov. I don't like the layout of vets.gov as it doesn't give you as many details as ebeneifts.

Treysnonna
Ebenefits is showing a claim for a new exam for hubbys heart. This is the third exam. He was just in hospital in Aug for pulmonary embolism. I uploaded paperwork. I think it will show that his heart condition is worse and now the right side of the heart has problems. I checked for them to make a decision on it. Do they usually leave the percent at the same or could they possibly increase it? The diagnosis from the hospital stay says chronic copd, Chronic CHF, sleep apnea for at least 10 yrs using cpap, and acute kidney failure. Now we do have a remanded appeal for ckd and iu. But should we go ahead and file a claim for all this. They do not usually just go a…

Request a Claim Decision now?
Hello all, this my first post and question. Trying to keep it simple for now, but I'm planning to post my more convoluted history shortly in regards to my big picture circumstances. I've learned quite a bit here recently from the elders, mods, and last but not least, the new guys and gals asking questions such as this. I'll try to give just enough info below, without going overboard, especially in order to help others understand their own particular situations. Basic question(s): On eBenefits, should I go ahead and request a claim decision? I currently have nothing else to add .... but would it be worth it to submit a buddy statement? Basic situation: The …

Decision Notification Sent
Hello everyone, I am a long time reader but first time poster. I have been working on my husband's claim and have a question. The claim was moved to " decision notification sent" yesterday and from what I have been reading I know the timeline for the BBE is all across the board. Last night the disibilities we claimed all showed up under the disability section of ebenefits but they are listed as non-service connected with no rating and no effective date listed. They also do not have an effective date listed. Does this mean he was denied or could it just be ebenefits has not updated? His benefits letters have not changed. Thank you everyone for al…

Peggy and backpay
I called Peggy yesterday to check on my backpay and the lady said its there when she checked to see if any payments were pending. She said it there and to give it up to 5 business days. My question is; is there anyway she can be wrong or have misinterpreted it? I just don't want to have my hopes up.

Verify Employment VIA the worknumber. HELP!
I've run into an issue verifying my employment with Speedway. As you all know, the VA is requesting that my employer fill out VA FOrm 21-4192 Request For Employment Information. When I contacted the Employee Information line, they pointed me to the worknumber. I contacted the worknumber and are telling me this. Speedway will not disclose any employment information, it must be done through the worknumber. These instructions apply if you want someone to verify your employment only (no income). Provide your verifier with your Social Security Number and the name of your employer. Tell your verifier to visit www.theworknumber.com and register inside the…

Benefit Summary on Ebenefits
My case shows under Benefit summary on Ebenefits-One or more service-connected disabilities(yes), Your combined service connection evaluation is 70%, Your current monthly amount award is :$1365.48. But it then says the effective date of the last change to your current award was December 1, 2017. What does this mean? Does it mean that my pay rate is based off the last rate of 2017 for veterans? My claim was filed February 2012, so this can not be my EED.

90% P&T??
Need advice....I was given IU 1 year ago with a 90% overall rating. I was told i would be having a appointment just this past Oct. Oct came and went. No appt. The appt was to revisit 30% pes planus rating from 4 years ago. Just received a decision packet stating my family is now eligible for ch. 35. also, i was given permanent and total status. wow, i was not expecting that. Does this mean i keep being paid at 100%, remain IU, at a 90% overall? has anyone heard of something like this? I met with VSO today and was given a packet for CHAMPVA. They said because i am now P&T my family qualifies?? thanks

Attorney Fee Eligibility Determination
Hard to believe no one ever asked what this is or how it works. Kept in the dark about EVERYTHING, until it is complete, despite the fact that an attorney fee has absolutely no bearing on what your final ratings are. Any idea how long VA will force me to look at this status?
