New Va Policy Coming On
It is not unusual for the VA to sometimes award large amounts like this- I helped a vet whose retro and award was close to this amount- claims in the system for over a decade and ultimately granted and successful CUE claims as well as siggnificant retro for Nehmer class Action AO vets certainly surrorts the fact that VA does make large awards from time to time. I sure dont understand how this retro procedure can possibly be changed but apparently VA is trying to change it- once the VA starts to really resolve the backlog-I bet many large retro awards are produced to vets in the system for over a decade already- http://www.vawatchdog.org/07/nf07/nfOCT07/nf1…

Fishing Expedition
Hi, I received a letter from the AMC stating letter going to my Board Certified Internist of 30 years. I did not receive any copy or information as to what they wanted from him. He received his letter this past Tuesday. I saw him on Wednesday for my usual appointment and he told me bits and pieces. This is the jist of what they wanted to know. Why in your opinion as an Internist are you qualifed or more qualifed than a psychiatrist to treat this patient and what is her current diagnosis and past diagnosis and what are your credentials to treat her? He went into depth about my diagnosis and his credentials. He read me bits and pieces of his letter, and …

Another C&p This Time By Qtc Medical
I have several feet issues and have overall 30% for flat feet. I filed a reconsideration and now I get call from QTC Medical - a contractor for the VA to do C & P exams. I don't understand why I need this, I have submitted several doctor notes for 3 different doctors and the basis of my recon was new and material evidence by the VA foot doctor which was not used in their determination. Why can't they just decide on the info they have? Does anyone have experience with QTC?

Urgent Matter! What To Send To Ssa/dds
Hadit Members: I just received my C-File from the VA. Should I just copy the complete file and send to the Disability Determination Services? Is there anything that I should take out such as the part that shows my entitlement amount? Although it is MY benefit that I've EARNED, there are alot of civilians out there that think otherwise. Are they less likely to approve or deny you your SSDI benefits if they have this information or does it matter? Please help! I will be preparing the evidence for the SSA over this weekend. Thanks, jmack

Fiduciary Questions
I was rated for 100% in May 2007, and I sent a letter that month explaining I am incompetent to handle my benefits and want my mother to handle it. Last week I was told a fidcuciary would come to my mom's house to interview us to see if she is eligible to handle the benefits. I was told to wait 1-2 weeks by someone at the VA in DC, but I don't know if they are bs'ing me. He wrote down "hardship" on my paperwork, because I am homeless and living in my car, and I have a seven month old daughter. So here is my question. Will it really be 1-2 weeks before a fiduciary comes to interview us? And when that happens, how long do I wait before I actually see the money? I am o…

Salisbury Va Nurse Lists Patient "stable" 12 Days After Death!
Nurse documents patient "stable," 12 days after death! Just wondering if anyone knows what action, if any, was taken against this nurse? This reporter is holding feet to the fire in her locale, and she told me today she's hoping to have a major VA package (more on a national scale) ready for this Sunday, the 21st. I applaud her diligence in helping expose VA improprieties. VA hospital expects key visit, e-mail says STELLA M. HOPKINS The Salisbury veterans hospital, facing congressional questions about patient care, is cleaning up in anticipation of a visit, possibly by high-ranking Washington officials, according to an internal e-mail. The e-mail, sent…

Herbicide Failure Modes
fwd from: Kelly Herbicide Failure Modes Since I am caught up now from trips and addressing the issues at the moment that had to get done; and more importantly not knowing how else to fight this issue since non-caring politicians and media do not want to listen. I am back on my failure modes paper I hope to have reviewed. I am refining and researching continuously of course. Some of this is boring and quite technical the further I post this; but this is a start of the posting. I think at present I have around 180 pages of analysis down to the cytokine levels and still have more to educate myself on the in-depth biological and microbiological issues. I want t…
