The Va Computer System
My husband went to VA appt. yesterday and the VA doctor (?) not sure of credentials, looked at the computer and was asking questions about my husbands history. It seems the VA computer only has partial records for the veteran. (i suppose the rest are in the cfile) How can anyhting be done properly & how can decisions be made if the VA only has partial records available. This is very discouraging when we are trusting our future health to people who do not have access to the whole file. How does one go about getting an appt. to see the cfile at the RO. I really think it's time we went and got a copy of all the records. Something is really not quite right. Do we c…

How To Rate Non-service ?
Winvet234 <script type=text/javascript> ipsmenu.register( "post-member-2359", '', 'popmenubutton-new', 'popmenubutton-new-out' ); How to rate non-service?, Today, 12:19 PM I'm doing all this for my husband and haven't got a lot of help from his DAV rep. My husband is paranoid schzophrenic and suffers with severe tinnitis. He receives 10% for the tinnitis, but have not been able to locate records about treatment for mental problems while in service. As the tinnitis worsened, his mental state went completely downhill. He has been thru the hearing with the BVA and was approved. But when he got the letter in Aug. of last year, they decided in Oct. o…

How Do I Delete Multiple Posts Of The Same Question?
I have no idea what's up with my system but when I tried to post my question about total and permanent as it pertains to IU I kept getting a black screen that locked up my system. It did not appear to post to the forum until the last time I tried it. Then, when I came back later I see that it posted several times. Is there any way to delete a duplicate (triplicate, quadruplicate....) post you've written yourself or does a moderator have to delete it? I apologize for the hassle. The only thing I can think of is the next time this happens where it doesn't look like it's posting to the forum I'll close my browser and come back in before I try posting again. Any o…

Need Documentation On New Vets Getting Quicker Va Attention
Would someone please direct me to the hadit post that has the actual VA letter that outlines that the new vets are being fast tracked in the VA claims process over us older vets? I know I read a letter embedded in a post late the other night but I forgot to print it. The poster wrote something along the lines of "you are behind the times, here is the VA letter that outlines the fast tracking of new veterans" and then they posted the letter. It was the actual VA letter outlining the process to fast track new vets and there were several comments about it. I tried running a search but couldn't locate it so I must not have used the right search words. I also tried lo…

Special Alert
I know this is going to disturb a lot of people. But I guess I should inform everyone. I spoke to a very reliable VSR at the RO in Buffalo named Skip. He indicated that with everything going on and the whole direction of the Vets who are from 9/11 and Persian Gulf are Priority #1. Direction has come very recently internally to VSRs from "HEAD BOSSES" that they are to rate claims of Vets after 9/11 and then DIC claims, then others.

My Brother& His Claim
In march of this year,I had asked for advice from this Forum on filing a claim for my brother. After many sleepyless nights,I was able to find his ( BURNED) medical files, got Notorised Statement from a friend who was there when he had his first heart failure(he was never told) in boot camp. He stayed in Army for 13 years, then just could not hack it any more! When he had tried to re-enlist at a later date,he was refused, because his hearing was too bad.
