Medical Power Of Attorney
The main purpose I recommend this is when you go for a C&P you can take your spouse in the room with you, if the examiner trys to tell you no spouse allowed tell them you have a Medical Power of Attorney on file at the VAMC and that your spouse needs to be in there with you. Do google or yahoo search on line for Michigan (substitute your state) Medical Power of Attorney You can find them on the internet, copy and paste and fill in appropriate names. Print it, get the witness signatures. Take it to the medical records of at the VAMC and tell them you want it scanned into your record. EXAMPLE MICHIGAN DURABLE POWER OF ATTORNEY FOR HEALTH CARE I, XXXXXX XXXXX…

Are Nod & Appeal Same?
Okay, dont mean to sound like i havent read the NOD and appeal postings here. I am filing two NODs two different claims.Just looked back through my older claims where I had filed NOD, was wondering if those are considered appeals also? As far as I recall NOD is a simple statement identifying the item on the VA denial that I want to have reconsidered and processed again for the compensation claim. Hope I am on the right track, NOD first, then more specifics ASAP. thanks for any comments, cg

Has Anyone Filled Out A Financial Statement For C&p Only?
I am sorry to be such a nuisance. Has anyone out there filled out a Financial Statement with the Va. upon arrival for a C&P Examination? This would not be for treatment, just a plain old simple C&P at the Va. Medical Center? Thanks, Josephine

Lost C File?
31 Days ago I had A C&P, today I did a Iris Inquiry and got the following back. This letter is in response to your inquiry of October 19, 2006. Your claims folder was sent to the VAMC in Detroit for a scheduled examination. As of this date, the folder has not been received back in this office. Once the folder with the exam is returned, it will be forwarded to the DRO for his action. At this time, we cannot give you a specific timeline for the finalization of your appeal. We apologize for the delay. We hope that this information is helpful to you. Sincerely, D. R. Brady Any advice as what I should do?

Does Anyone Know The Answer?

Things That Slow Down Veterans Claims
I have compiled a list of items that slow down Veterans. #1 A Regional office in a highly populated area. ( example) Tampa, #2 Submitting a new claim while a claim is in progress. #3 Contact with a Congress person adds 60 days to the claim. #4 Medical Evaluations like multi stystem C@P's that can take months to get the reports. #5 Government and other places that are too slow sending requested medical information. #6 A vet not sending in the VCAA notice. ( A lot of Vets are mislead to think it is the VA responsibility to submit the records) #7 Inefective and incompetent Veterans Service Officers who are nothing but claim filing factories with no working …
