Odd Va Info
One of the 800 # vet reps who has never steered me wrong on status of my claim-if he can see a status on the PC screen- just told me that there was a "re-open" on August 8th of a non appeal issue I had for service connection. And then yesterday the "re-opened" claim went into adjudication. I had asked for Reconsideration of their CUE denial a few weeks ago and thought this was the claim he meant. But I emailed my Congressman about the S 2694 matter and realised that ,in a letter I am preparing for him too, that I needed a status -if any- of the Senatorial Inquiry they have at the VARO on my AO SC claim. The vet rep at 800# said it seems that is part of the re…

Nod
If you have a C&P and the dr. list your GAF as 53, but says overall disability-severe range and social adaptability-severly impaired and occupational adaptablity-considerably impaired.....so you are given 50%. Before the C&P and since the C&P, at the mental health appointments the GAF was listed as 50, could you use this to file a NOD to try to get 70%? Thanks, sbrewer

Has anyone here ever been threatened by their POA that they will no longer have their POA represenation if they contact a Congressman or Senator regarding their claim or any other VARO issue? I haven't been threatened like this --- dont get me wrong- I need better word than threatened - maybe manipulated? But they might suggest this to me today-

Varo Swamped
Good Morning, When a doctor is certified by a state,e.g. (california) to do a QME/IME, the doctor has to abide by certain guidelines. If he doesn't he will loose his certification to perform the examinations and then he will loose money. Depending on the amount of time the doctor spends with the patient doing the exam and the complexity of the case, how many body areas or systems are involved, how many patient records ( and by how many, they measure how thick in inches the file is,determines how much the doctor is allowed to bill for his exam and opinion services. They can bill from $300.00 to $1200.00 and more for one exam and report. This is for workers compe…

Dav E-mail Ref. Veterans Choice Of Representation Act
If you haven't had a chance already, please visit www.vawatch.org and read the letter from the former Chief Judge of the Court which he wrote to Congressman Steve Buyer regarding this Act. I do not have any ill feelings towards the DAV, but I get quite angry when I receive e-mails that are as intentionally misleading and insulting to disabled veterans as the e-mail I received from the DAV dated 8/21/06. Those of you who choose to engage the assistance of any VSO are free to continue doing so. However, those of us who have been victimized by the delay and deceive tactics of our respective VARO's should have the right to choose an attorney for representation right fro…
