New Abbrevations
Now that I understand the GAF score could someone make a new list on all the abbrevations. It is very difficult to read some of the postings because the abbrevations are not all listed on what I have. I printed out what Morgan posted on Feb. 27th but they are not all there. Thanks

Can Claimed Conditions Be Ammended? Or Do You Have To File A New Claim?
I have may have a big uuuhhhhoooo - I filed for a claim for L4-L5 fusion with sever back pain. I was also diagnosised w/degenerative disc disease (DDD) in service. I thought they were all the same thing - back pain.... but after researching - found they are very different.... I have sent in evidence & statements that included the the DDD = but after looking over my claim - I didn't specifically claim DDD....... I claimed L4-L5 fusion & back pain - which got denied because my surgery records are missing........... I just noticed this last night while reviewing my claim stuff that I hadn't actually listed DDD on the claimed conditions. My claim has been in proce…

How To Request C-file
Hi Everyone, We requested my husbands SMRs from NARA, but they said his records were sent to the RO. We are still trying to get his SMRs. Is there a specific form we use when requesting a copy of the c-file from the RO. Do we have to ask for prior military records duty & medical or are all records in the c-file? Is there a fee for copying? How long should it take for them to process request? Need a little help. Thanks ahead of time for your response. Jangrin

Incredibly Rude Psychiatrist
I have an IU claim in. I'm currently rated at 70% for bipolar (and have a few other SC issues) and they sent me to a psych. to reevaluate. The guy was a JERK. He started out the visit with telling me off because I prefer to see female APRN's (abuse issues in my past, what can I say?) and then got mad at me when I referred to the woman I see as my doctor. (Force of habit, and besides, she has a Ph.D. so it's not entirely inaccurate.) I tried to tell him why I couldn't work right now, and he kept telling me things like "all I hear is you are making a willful decision to quit working" and telling me I have no valid excuse for not working. When I mentioned things like…

i have done some testing along with two volunteers from hadit.com and the general consesus seems to be that the sort for va claims research should be changed to the following order Sort Key: Date of Last Post Sort Order: Descending (Z-A, 0-10) so i will implement this change and we can see how it works for everyone.

Daignosed Anxiety And Depression
I went to see the VA psychiatrist yesterday and was diagnosed with anxiety and depression. Although I have not seen the written diagnosis (probably is not done yet anyway), the psychiatrist stated that the aniety and depression are tied in to my other disabilites. I go in on the 29th to decide my course of counseling and then once a month for three months to learn coping strategies. I have alos been prescribed Celexa as well as another pill to take as needed for sleep. Is this all normal? At what point would I/should I put in a new disability claim? I would think they would want to see how I was doing on the medicine first anyway.

De Novo Review
Based on the link Berta posted about the DRO job description: "Based on a review of the evidence of record, is there enough evidence to make a new decision? · If yes, the DRO makes a new decision. · If no, the DRO - pursues additional evidence considered necessary to resolve the claim, and/or - conducts an informal conference to obtain additional evidence from the appellant and his/her representative." That makes it difficult to understand how they can fail to seek new evidence, fail to tell you that you lack certain evidence needed, and then make a decision based on lack of evidence. To me it just looks like they LIST more evidence than in the orig…
