Letter From Former Va Employee
I was recently contacted by a former VARO employee that sent me this letter. I am with holding her name for her sake. It's interesting reading about someone actually acknlowdging whats happening at the VA. Office of Senator James Inhofe 1924 S Utica Suite 530 Tulsa OK 74104 This is a request for help resolving some issues at a government agency that has been using practices that are grossly unethical, and are resulting in treatment to our veterans of the armed forces that is unfair, and heartbreaking in many instances. My hope is that this letter will instigate an investigation and correct this increasing problem before a larger one is created. I would li…

Scars
Can someone explain what a scar disablility would be? Could this be from having surgery? For example-if you have heart bypass surgery-you would of course have a huge scar from you neck down to your stomach as well as your leg if they use a vein and even your arm if they use an artery. Would this be example of scar disability? sbrewer

Help W/misc. Questions
I was wondering if someone has any helpful info on the following topics: First, I am being considered for a med. board and medical retirement/seperation and I was wondering if anyone knew if it was helpful or even possible to provide the military doctor with supporting documentation from civilian doctors that could possibly help my case and get me a larger percentage. Specifically, my surgeon who is going to start the process is an ortho guy who will speak to the strutural issues (following 2 back surgeries), but I have a civilian neurosurgeon who has documented permanent nerve damaage in one of my legs. I want to ensure this gets looked at by the decision makers who…

E-mail The Va ?
Does anybody know if you can send e-mail regarding claims questions. I called the VA 1-800# Friday, and they told me my 14 month old NOD has gone to some people that schedule hearings. In my NOD I asked for a DRO review. I want to e-mail them rather than write a postal letter . . . is this even possible??? ~Wings P.S. My claim's at the Oakland VARO.

ptsd Ptsd Case Review Training Letter
Hi, A while back I came across the VA PTSD Case Review training letter dated 1-8-01. It's VERY interesting if you have a PTSD claim. Has anyone else seen this? And more importantly, has anyone cited this in their claim? It's not code, it's not caselaw but I'm hoping to lean on it nonetheless since it's from the Director of C&P. I've attached a copy. I'm using it as it pertains to the GAF score. My father-in-law appointed me as his VA rep and I'm drafting a second reply on his request for increased PTSD (he's also got Hep C - sc). He had 2 C&P's done (1998 & 1999) where the GAF and the narratives didn't match up. The training letter says that the GAF …
