What Are The Benifits For 0% - 100%?
Does anyone have the link to a post I read months ago that detailed the various VA benifits for compensation. It listed 0% up to 100%. It was a very informative post. I can't find it via the search engine. I just received a rating of 0% for bilateral hernia scars, 10% left foot hamemr toes, 10% righ foot hammer toes and 10% severed wrist ligament. I plan on doing a NOD. Thanks

Vcaa Notice Response
OK...Where do I start here? Let's see I'm 100% SC T&P At one time I had to draw Pension & was also on 100% A & A. Now I put in for A & A & GUESS WHAT...............????? Yep, the ole RO in St.Louis,MO denies it. Kinda made me scratch my head on that one. OK. So I go & send NOD to BVA. Now, in the mail I get a VCAA Notice Response ( Meaning do I have any more evidence.... I had letters from 2 VA Docs & an IMO attesting to fact I needed A & A but I suppose the RO's know better. lol So, I'm going to send it in with the "no other information to submit & decide claim ASAP" OK... My though…

Nursing Home Care
I have private long term care insurance. I have been told and have read that the VA provides nursing home care to veterans who are at least 70% disabled. If I thought this was a secure thing I might drop the private long term care insurance but I just can't bring myself to trust the VA. They might change the law 5 years from now and then I would probably not be able to purchase my own long term care insurance due to age and illness. Does anyone have any ideas about this. Future projections for long term care are that it will cost $100,000 dollars a year within ten years for this kind of care and medicare does not pay.

Berta
Hi Berta, I recently filed additional new and pertinent info to my claim. The process had reached the scheduled C&P stage when I suspended it by asking for my medical service records. The VA never could locate them and advised me to try to find them myself. Since I didnt believe I needed them to establish my secondaries anyway, I sent in my new info based on evidence and proofs which are current to my condition. A good month has passed and I have had no acknowledgement of receipt or that they are back working on the claim in light of the new info. I do have date stamped copies since I hand delivered. My question is are they required to acknowledge by mail thi…

Need Advice For My Buddy
I have a buddy who was in Nam. His legs are eat slap up. The fronts of calves stay inflammed (red/purple)and scabby, yes its painful. The knot head went to VA 100 years ago and they turned him away. He thinks they won't do nothing now. He has no records other than his 214. He works like dog everyday in a factory, he's 58, he's no whinner. I just hate it for him. Does anybody know what this might be. He's been to doctor's but never got much help or a good explaination for whats wrong. Mostly he puts up with it and doctor's it on his own. I've tried to talk to him, begged him to go. Anybody got any ideals on what it is or what he can do?

Navy Website Ships Information
I was saddened by the News I saw on this site last night. All of the Subs I had worked on are now decomissioned and had their reactors taken out. The Tender I was attached also was decomissioned and Sunk as a Target in 10,000 feet of water. Anyway, This site is truly awesome for sailors. It does contain every class of ship and has crew members. This site alkso liste each ships accidents and some deployments. Tbird may want to add it to the links page because it may be the best site for Naval Buddy Letters. http://navysite.de/ships.htm#ar JJ

18 Vamcs Under The Ax!
Eighteen More Veterans Administration Medical Centers Are Under The Ax By David Robert Crews, Magic City Morning Star, Millinocket, ME 04462 Mar 27, 2006, Ft. Howard Maryland Veterans Administration Medical Center is the first VA property that will be turned into a veteran and non-veteran independent, assisted living and geriatric care housing project. Need Pointers
Hello anyone taking the time to read this, I was in the air force from 77-81 as a crew chief and handled jp-4 daily with no protection (who knew?) I was initially diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma of the scalp in 93 and again in 98. In 2001 I had a grand mal seizure caused by radiation necrosis of the brain. I've been on SSD since 99. A vet friend of mine urged me to file a VA claim because of the benzene in Jp-4, which I did in 2004.No decision yet but recently the VA sent me a letter asking me if I were planning on sending any more evidence. I'm getting ready to undergo surgery for a very rare "eccrine carcinoma" of the scalp and lymph node ressection, with …

Otey
my reply vanished -so did your question- I must have hit the wrong key- in my profile message thing- Yes- as long as THEY (VA etc) asked for the extension-copy what you signed and agreed to -to protect yur claim-and save it. That is very important to do- Yes-the 6 months thing still OK and Yes - this does sound like a very good sign. If these questions are asked in the forum , others will learn about these issues- but I certainly DO understand if you dont want to put this info in the forum.
