ptsd What To Do Next
I got my letter from the VA: DDD C-spine 20% Anxiety disorder 10% gastris/reflux 10% DDD L-spine 10% Headaches 0% Scar 0% Cervical radiculopathy - not SC Tendonitis/arthritis of wrist - deferred - pending C&P I think I should file a NOD, if I do that can they take away what they have already awarded? I know its normal to think your rating should be higher. But how can they SC the headaches & give 0%. I submitted documents from doctors showing I have had migraines for years since my accident and at present I am have 1-2 a month. The VA give me my migraine meds. The out was they called them occipital, related to my neck and to receive a precentage I …

hypertension Impact On Employment ( New C And P Exams)
As I have posted before, I had a C and P exam last December using the Brand New compoter guidelines the VARO's send the VA C and P doctors. The Exams are the same as stated in the regs but the computer program is very detailed. My C and P was for 5 issues and it took over 4 hours to complete. I had doubts about this system but after I received the results today, I am very Pleased. Each claimed disability is now listed and the Doctor must write what effect the disability has on employment. Of course getting a Good C and P doctor is the KEY for succeding in a claim. As for My claims, all were documented by the doctor in a very Professional manner relating the claim to ser…

**disturbing! What I Found When Working For The Va Hospital.
Hello all~! I thought someone might benefit from my story. I’m not sure where to begin, but I do feel that sharing this information with others is important. It wasn’t long ago that I worked in the laboratory at the VA hospital. The hospital will remain nameless; however, I have an extensive science background in the cellular biological sciences. I was asked to perform review lab data directly for the directing Physician. In particular this information came to me when medical students who were taking notes on the floor had to have their work reviewed prior to being entered into the medical charts. The VA is always backlogged as you all know so processing this …

A New Update On My Claim
At 8:30 this AM my claim left the Director's office and went into an appeals team- who can make a rating on it- so the vet rep said- ??? This is my main claim- the vet rep didnt know status of the other ones-said they apparently have put it all together- He said it is completely out of the DRO's hands now. ??? I dont know how to interpret this- Also I have been continually sending additional medical evidence- there is plenty of it in the veteran's med recs- I have stuff here to mail on his cerebral trauma- very technical stuff- it explains part of Dr. Bash's opinion based on his exertise as Neuro-Radiologist. I dont know if I should mail them more yet on …

Phone Call From Rater
I recieved a phone call from the person rating my claims yesterday. He wanted to make sure I was not wanting to open new claims because the senators office forwarded the letter I wrote that listed my symptoms. Last week I had faxed a letter stating that I was not opening any new claims at this time. (I can't wait any longer for a decision, my house is in forclosure. The senators aid had put me in direct contact with the VARO) I also explained that they had enough evidence to decide my claims right now, as they were waiting for more of MY doctors records when additional support was not necissary. At that time they told me they were schedualling me for a C&P exam (wich …

Meeting With Va Medical Center Director(falty C&p Exams, Medication Side Effects, Incompendent N.p)
Greetings, My wife and I met with our local VA Medical Center Director yesterday. I would encourage anyone not to give up stand up for yourselves (majority of the time your so will not). The meeting started off well until I pulled out my audio tape recorder, and their moods changed. My first question was why does the VA have N.P to perform C&P exams? They gave me the text book answer, however I was point blank with them (because of the nightmare I went through with a N.P at a C&P exam. Asking personal questions that were innaporiate, and making up exams that did not take place) I asked them if a N.P was qualified to perform such exams on sererely disabled …

Clarification Please
My VA doctor has recommended unimployability. I am still working but I need to know if I can file for UI while working. I don't want to be homeless again. I'M 62, 80% with spouse and 17y/o son at home. Anyone with advice out there? Does 80% =100% when unimployable? My SO is too busy to bug very often, a great guy but maybe someone here has the answer. He is also urging me to file UI. You are appreciated.

ptsd Issues With My Ptsd Claim...
Well, I went to see my Psche about my medications last Thursday. You know oneof the 15 minute meetings. I had been by and talked to my Voc Rehab counselor that morning, and she is off the opinion that I can't work, but is hoping to get me in the Indepent Living program, so that I can do some volunteer work on days that I feel only partially looney. So I go by my Vet Center and my therapist there fills out the paper for me and is writing a letter. When I go to see the Psych. she give me the usual bullet list of questions about how i'm doing. Tell her not good, wife and I had a bad fight, a few blows were given. I informed her that this happened the week that I ha…

Migraines (0% Rating)
Talked with a SO today, so I don't have official word, but my claim for migraines was given a 0% rating. I am so upset, the doc never discussed them during them C&P. When I told him about them he just looked at me like a dummy. My headaches are headaches of the upper cervical occipital blending with daily neck pains, or so he says. I have 20% DDD of the C-spine with C4,5,6 fusion & 2 broken screws, facet disease, arthritis and 2 herniated disks above and below the fusion. BUT MY HEAD DON"T HURT!! I have documentation from my neurologist saying they are migraines caused by ny SC neck problems and I receive migraine meds from the VA. Call them what you want t…
