How Long Does Is Take To Get For A Deferred Decision ?
I was upgraded from 40% to 90% in November. I signed the paper they sent me which had to be back in less than 30 days. I am waiting for IU decision which is a give me because I meet both criteria’s for eligibility. My Question is this, Do I start from the beginning of the line or the end here. It took me 10 moths to get this increase. Is it going to take me 10 months for this or do I get put right on the front desk at the rating board? Thanks foe the advice.

Bell V. Derwinski Used To File Cue
Berta and Rentalguy1, I did something today to try it and see if it could be done. I filed a CUE based on the constructive-notice rule of Bell v. Derwinski, 2 Vet. App. 611 (1992). There is medical evidence in my records that should have increased my compensation and it has been there for 11 years. I have filed claims a couple times for increase but have been denied. There is evidence in my C-File that show that the information has been there. It is my hope to bring attention to what is happening here in Atlanta, GA. I have file a 21-4138 to request a hearing to fight an adverse proposal. I submitted it at the end of January 2007 but it was stamped August 2007 several…

Applying Through The Vonapp & Statement Of The Claim
I was wondering if the so called VOAPP is a more effective way to file a new claim or to appeal a claim (especially considering that the VA is notorious for losing or even shredding important paperwork). It is instantaneous since it uses electronic means to record, store, and relay the claim's information, and it seems to be safe since it uses electronic authentication and encryption. " The VONAPP (Veterans On Line Applications) website is an official U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) website, that enables veterans to apply for benefits using the Internet. U.S. military veterans and some service members within six months of separation or retirement can app…

Champ Va
My wife has champ va. She recently fell and broke her hip and had to have a full hip replacement. Medicare kicked her out of rehab at a acute facility. I placed her in a step down facility today where i was told that after 20 days that medicare would pay for, champ va would take over but I would have to pay 30 percent of the bill for anything over what medicare paid for. Has anyone had any dealings like this/ The step down facility is a nursing home that has a rehab/pt center in it. Thanks for any info. rdbug57@aol.com

What Is Wrong With Me?
I am supposed to go for a two hour psychological exam in two weeks at the VA. This was ordered by the psychologist I saw after the psychiatrist could not figure me out. This all started with my father dying and it kinda snowballed into trying to find my problem out. Has anyone gone through one of these exams and what does it entail? My private psychiatrist says I have adhd but I keep changing meds and really don't feel much different. Except for the Clozepam that helps me stay calm and sleep. All I want is to be able to concentrate so I can read a book or organize my clutter. Be able to remember to turn the stove off and not forget that I have something cooking and n…

I have been receiving 100 % temporary compensation since last July. My father past away this July and I sought the V.A."s help by seeing a psychiatrist. I have not slept well since May when He went into the hospital. I like the psychiatrist because she actually listens to me. I have only seen her for one hour but I am taking 100mg of Zoloft. My father's death put me in a PTSD when I him dead in his bed. He was getting better and we were getting ready to being him home. He had a blot clot in his left arm and they were not suppose to take blood from that arm but I believe they did. They called me at 6:30 in the morning saying we took blood at 6 and we came back in and he wa…

If you wish to submit an informal claim you may either call our toll free phone number listed below or submit an electronic inquiry. New Claim: Depression, Anxiety, Psd
Hi Folk, I am about to file a claim for depression and anxiety since there is a direct relation of such conditions with my chronic pain and difficulties of mobility, etc. I have been under pain meds (Piroxicam, another med for muscle spams, also gerd, and medication for anxiety and depression prescribed by the VA psychologist for over 3 years). My question is: Everybody has ups and downs in life (death of family member, financial difficulties, personal difficulties, etc) and may have depression and have taken meds at some point in life. Previously to join the military I have had such episodes in life, and took some meds back then for a short time. So my question i…

Imo X "progressive Notes"
Hello Folks, Would the so called "Progressive Notes" from the doctors have the same weight and relevance as an Independent Medical Opinion (IMO), assuming that an IMO is simply a document whereon a doctor states that in his/her opinion is such and such. On another subject, I am trying to file an informal claim for another condition via IRIS (VA web inquire system). I heard that it could even be done via email, since IRIS has more security feature and is an audited and controlled service I figured out that it would be safer and more effective to inform the VA about the informal claim via IRIS. I asked them to confirm the receiving and processing of my informal claim…

Als-lou Gehrigs
Just received phone call a few minutes ago from 65 yr old widow who's husband died from ALS Lou Gehrigs Disease. She filed informal claim by phone the end of September and received VA Award letter today approving her for widow's DIC of $1091. monthly. I've been slamming the VA Regional Offices a lot lately. This is the way the "system" is suppose to work. Hat's off to the VARO Cleveland for a job well done. I call them as I see them. Thanks again!!
