Too Optimistic Or Not?
Hey all I am looking for some more experienced opinion on my claim I may be looking at it more optimistically than I should. First a short review of how I started the claim in 2010 Nov. 3rd, Called 1-800# asked to re eval increase for 10% rt knee, and reopen left shoulder , knee , and back, was told by claim rep on phone must be separate claims which to I said ok, and assumed there would be two claims filed. Well wrong again about one month later got VA acknowledgement of the claim for increased eval Rt. knee only (dated Nov. 17, 2010) .. I waited about two weeks for the other re open claim but never came so I called the 1-800 # again and inquired about the re open claim …

Bi-Lateral Feet Calluses
I have been out of the military for over 32 years now. I just found out this year that i could have been getting a check for calluses on both of my feet . By not knowing this i never put a claim in. Now i have been walking around for over 32 years with foot pain and the V.A. will only pay me for the time i put the claim in at 10%, even through my medical paperworks states that i received the calluses 32 years ago. My question is ,why if you are going to pay someone for an injury they received years ago while in the miltary but didn`t know that they could have put this claim in, that they won`t pay you for the lost years? I just don`t understand this. also, i have hearing …

ptsd Va Ig Report On 100% Tdiu
Just read a report on Military.com concerning the recent VA's inspector generals investigation concerning the overpayment to disabled veterans. The report claimed that the VA overpaid 943 million to 100% TDIU veterans. VA's failure to keep up on managing scheduled exams for those receiving TDIU. Many veterans were found to have gone back to work and in some cases conditions had gotten better. The VA is supposed to keep track and monitor thoses that are TDIU. I don't have to explain why that task fell through the cracks. The increase of claims, the backlogs, minum staff/reviewers/adjudicators all led to this result. The report didn't state how often they are to be broug…

ptsd Today I Did My C And P For Tbi...
Well it took a while for the doc to see me, however it wasn't that long I would say an hour tops, in it he told me that he is gonna focus on the tbi, so he won't focus on te ptsd, so i think thas a hood sign, he also told me that he thinks I'm being truthful, not like others that are bogus that he seen, second good sign, now the nurse administered a test, where she said I barely passed, it was about remembering letters, counting numbers and some pictures. So what do u guys think I'm at 90%, 70 ptsd and 50 sleep apnea, do u guys think I have enough to make the 100%.

Disability Comp. Starts When?
So....I finally received my very first Disability Compensation payment (back-pay check)--rated at 90% (so far). I retired effective on 30 Sept 2010. My effective date of claim was 1 Oct 2010 (as shown on each of my individual "conditions" that were rated). The amount of my check was $9272.00. The only way for this at add up would be two payments of $1819 + three payments of $1878 = $9272. It seems to me that they should have paid me for 6 months (Oct - March)....but they only paid me for 5 months. I'm now being told that the FIRST month (in my case October 1-31) is NOT PAID AT ALL. They skip the first month (partial or whole)....then pay the 2nd month (at …
