Migraines In Connection To Ptsd (Va Claim)
I am an OIF veteran that served from 2001-2005. I was recently diagnosed with PTSD and was awarded a rating through the VA. My first claim I did not claim many things because I was not very aware of the process or what was considered a "claimable issue". Over the years I have been getting migraines that get progressively worse and the doc that I see says that they believe it is directly related to the anxiety from my PTSD. I have been put on several medication and currently was provided blood pressure medication to ease my high heart rate and anxiety. The big question is how to I claim the migraines? Do I claim them "in connection with PTSD" or do I just claim it se…

ptsd Tbi C&p
I have a tbi c and p in two days, I was diagnose with ptsd 70% already, I need to know what to expect, I'm kind going ballistic knowing that I can't get any rating, even though I have a stressor of the IED that blew up my truck. Any help, or recommendations, a civilian doctor is going to perform it.

What Does This Mean?
I want others input on this because I don't understand this. This is something have totally missed and didn't even read this on my last decision letter. It reads at the very beginning on my cervical issues: The evaluation of degeneration of cervical intervertebral disc and cervical radiculopathy is continued as 20 percent disabling. My question is how can they write cervical radiculopathy when in fact they denied all my cervical radiculopathy in my arms and hands? I now have a Dr. Bash IMO/IME on hand and was submitted for my NOD by DRO and have yet to hear a thing on that but I guess with my new IU claim they want to do that first. Anway I find this oxymo…

Quick Question
If I'm posting this in the wrong forum, I apologize. However, my question is that I have a p3 profile, and I'm in the reserves, I being trying to get out peacefully but my unit didnt help, now after almost 8 months I got this profile, and this email. I have sent your case on to the 2nd step which is the Health Services Branch (HSB), they should contact you within 3 weeks or so, probably by mail with instructions. HSB is the 2nd step in the 3 step process to the board. What does that mean, how long does it take, any help please. Also can the unit do anything to me if I miss drill because of health issues. Any help please and again sorry if I'm posting this i the…

Questions During A C&p Exam
Which has the most weght in a claim for mental disorders, a Phd. Psychologist, or GP? Had the Phd. give a favorable C&P. nine months later, another C&P by a GP, who asked a series of questions like "could you handle receiving a large amount of money given to you?", and can you cook yourself a meal? Can you handle reconciling your checkbook? I've never had an exam like this before. Does anyone know what the point was, had one like this, etc? Thanks,

hypertension Hypertension....
Since the onset of my current issues with my cervical, thoracic and lumbar stuff I now have hypertension. I have filed a claim as Hypertension secondary to Cervical, Thoraic and Lumbar. So the VA sent me the usual form asking me to provide evidence this existed from the military. I have found some clinical studies on the internet showing Chronic Long Term pain does cause Hypertension. Keep in mind I don't have any cholestrol nor heart problems. I can feel whenever my BP goes up because I am in pain and my wife tells me everytime my face turns red. I can't believe they haven't prescribed anything for this from the VA because everytime I go see them they put me on a EKG bec…

Claim Started Oct 2012-Still Gathering Evidence
My claim (some reopened due to new evidence, evidence they missed, severity change) been with VA since late Oct 2010. Phone calls to the 800 # result in them saying they are backlogged some 800k, plus a no email response from eVet and a no reply to email inquiiry to my congressmen. There are several changes they have to look at i understand...but they had the evidence they needed a year ago, and my portalat the eBenefits website is not updated to this fact. Frustrating. Not even a progress report in the gathering evidence phase of it all ! Never ever had to wait this long...understand the many combat vets returning from war zones to civilian life is quite a different …

Three Mris...
Since January 2010 I have had three MRIs on my cervical spine, two from the VA and one from the private side. Why is it that the VA MRI results are always lowballed results and the private MRI is showing something different? The VA MRI reports say they see minimal forminal stenosis at C5-C6 and C6-C7 and DDD. The private MRI shows Herniated disc with forminal stenosis at C5-C6 and herniated disk at C2-C3. I ask this because I truly feel the VA is "undertreating" my conditions, mainly in my cervical and thoracic spine. 80% of the current symptoms started in January 2010 with numbness in my hand, pain in both arms and pain in my pectoral muscle of my chest. Currently, I …

Severance Pay & Taxes
My question is about severance pay and taxes paid on that severance pay. Recently, literally today, it has come to my attention that if the VA rates a Vet disability we can reclaim that tax money paid with our severance pay. Basically, in a nutshell, will all the money paid in taxes, for me 2009, be refunded or is there some kind of gauge to measure how much to expect in return? Say if you paid $6000 you get roughly 10% of that back or is all $6K refunded to you? I just don't want any thing to come back and bite me. You know? I called the IRS; I've seen crazy stuff about you need to submit corrected W-2's from DFAS, final orders, submit DD-214, blah, blah, blah & b…
