ptsd Practitioner Choice For An Imo
I have found two practitioners who are willing to do an IMO. One is affiliated with a counselor (non MD non Phd) whose name was given to me by my vet rep and who have experience with doing the IMOs and apparently getting results, probably mostly for PTSD. The person I would be working with is an associate of hers but the person recommended by my rep would be helping her write the report. This would cost around $200 or so, possible multiple visits. The only other person I found in the area is an MD/psych in a chain who has told me through his nurse that he 'can do what I need' - for $400 up front. Both these choices might be ok, I am just gun shy of making the wr…

New Here & Need Advice...
Hi, I have a few concerns in regards to claiming compensation. A little background: I'm in the reserves, and recently returned from deployment late last year. I was activated for 1 year. 4 months after being released from Active Duty and back on Reserve status, I went to a private doctor because of pain I was having in my right ankle and left knee. The Dr. discovered I had flat feet, which was causing the pain... While I was there, I asked her about some sleeping issues I have been experiencing for the past year. Waking up in the middle of the night gasping for air, feeling tired in the mornings, etc. She reccommended me to have a Sleep Study done, which I did. The r…

Imo Question
My vet rep already filed an NOD. I found an MD whose office said he would do an IMO and understands the issue and what format they want for a report, etc. Can I give him my own copies of my active duty and current records, or do they have to be officially sent from the VA for the IMO to be considered 'valid'? Also, after reading the responses to another one of my posts it might have been better to file a request for reconsideration rather than an NOD, which was already filed on Friday. Am I wasting my time with the IMO at this point, or should I do it anyway to make sure it is in the record?

C & P For Ihd/ao
My husband had his C & P March 10, 2010 and an Echocardiogram March 22nd. As of last Mon (4/26) VA had not rec'd the results of those exams, but had put out a request to QTC for them. Thurs. (4/27) we rec'd a notice from QTC of the need for him to follow up with his PCP re: his elevated blood pressure and findings on the chest x-ray. I wasn't surprised about the BP concern, but was a bit alarmed about the chest x-ray. Had read here on hadit that it's fairly routine for the "CYA" letter, but still wanted more info. Contacted our VSO via email(he's not good about returning tele calls, but prompt in responding to emails) asking for copies of the C & P and ec…

C&p Exam...rude Examiner
Are all C&p examiners rude? I had one Friday (April 23, 2010), and before I opened my mouth to say good morning, I knew this guy would be a joy. From the get go, he complained and was very annoyed of how thick my file was, and kepy rolling his eyes at everything I said. He did not listen to anything, nor did he care. My wife witnessed the whole thing, and she was appauled at the whole exam. I was medically retired, put on methrotraxate and remicade infusions, giving 30%, and have not worked since Jan. 04. Who should be torqued here? Me, or the PA? Sorry all......just venting to anyone that will listen.
