ptsd About The Last Page Of Va Form 21-0781a...
I submitted a VA FORM 21-0781a just before Thanksgiving, with my two worst stressor events described and a sentence or two about each of the items on the last page. Last week I read a recommendation on another PTSD-MST forum which advised to only discuss one stressor and to be very expansive when discussing the last page items. I haven't submitted a Statement in Support of Claim about the MST beyond the brief statement my Rep wrote up for me. I'm in a quandry because I'm afraid I haven't told (in writing) about the drastic change in me after service. I talked about it to VA therapists & psychiatrists, but never in writing. How important is it that I write that…

The Dreams Has Started & Drinking Seems To Be Back
For the last three weeks or so, vivid dreams, although I use a C-pap, the dream I am always running away from people, with gun play. most time by myself, others with family. and unlike regular dreams, these I can remember details like a movie. The other Issie I started to nip, ever so slightly, but, non the less I do, and is at night. This is after more than almost two years of looking at the bottles and no reactions. I have to stop, I take too many strong pills to mess my inside up. This CPT is stressful. should be finishing now this.

ptsd Gerd And Tinnitus
I go in next week for an exam for both gerd and tinnitus. I will be trying to get them both SC . I have a couple of questions for the board. All of my service records are lost and medical too. Should i be trying to claim this as secondary to PTSD instead of connecting back to my active duty days. If my records are ever found , both of these conditions are in it . Also what can i expect at this exam (not a c&p ) just with my primary care Dr at VA .They will be taking blood for the gerd, Tinnitus hearing exam ? They also have me not eating for 12 hrs prior , when i do that i cannot take my meds as it really makes the gerd go. Will they be able to tell that at the ex…

diabetes P&t
I recently put in a claim for P&T after being rated 100% schedular. PTSD and diabetes related disabilities. The correspondence received from the VA states that they were scheduling me for C&P in September 2010 for a P&T rating anyway, but would address the issue at this time. Now I am scheduled for a C&P in February. Anyone ever heard of such a thing?? I am 63, so maybe age??

ptsd Ptsd And Gaf Scores
Here is something you guys might know something about. I have PTSD but it is not SC, However I am diagnosed with a GAF score of 55 with the VA Mental health Doc. He put down on my records that my current PTSD is not service connected but the fact that depression secondary to my SC back disability is affecting my non service connected PTSD. I have had a claim in for IU on account of the SC back disorder rated @10% and 1 other SC condition rated @60% along with 30% and a few 10% that adds up to 80%. With all of that said I have read where when a SC condition affects or agrivates a non SC condition the VA must evaluate all connected disabilities. I admit I am kind of worn ou…

ptsd Ptsd
I was talking to a Vet friend of mine who gave me some advice when I was filing my claim for PTSD. I told him that I got 50% and he asked me if I thought that was fair. I thought about it and I said that it was ok at the present time in my life. Its not worth the effort or the stress to fight for more. I said if I got 30% I would have fought it. I said that if I knew about PTSD and filed a claim in the 1980's that I would have gotten at least 70%. I have gotten mellow as I got older. Things still bother me but not like they did 25 years ago. Its an effort today to act right all the time. I know I burned a lot of bridges that can't be repaired with people but thats l…

ptsd Chronic Adjustment Disorder
Does anyone know when Chronic Adjustment Disorder aka "PTSD lite" was added to the VA's schedule on rating disabilities? I thought I saw 2006 somewhere, but can't find that reference anymore.
