  1. i think i have it fixed now.
  2. i am not sure what is causing this problem. i have to send a email to tech support and see what they say. i thought it got it fixed but not yet
  3. never a good idea seriously if you are having those kind of thoughts get yourself to an hospital emergency room and tell them do not threaten anyone ever work your claim seek help but never ever threaten anyone my two cents worth
  4. i'm not sure it's a cookie problem though that the does make perfect sense, i have to log in also once i leave the site, i do have all my cookies deleted when i close my browser for security purposes. i'm going to try a few things and see if that fixes it. i changed one thing let's see how that works for folks. not sure if i can get this fixed we had a small upgrade to the site done recently and it maybe part of the extra security.
  5. hmm that is odd. it is true that you need to be logged in as a registered member to see all the forums, but odd that it welcomes you back with your name and then you must log in again. i tried duplicating this problem but so far no luck. so let me get this straight, you leave the hadit site, you come back it says welcome back and your name and then it makes you log in? if you are logged out it may say welcome back but not with your name. i'll try and duplicate this problem and see if i can figure it out.
  6. ok you believe in natural meds that's fine, you made your point. this site is not about discussing the pro's and con's about natural meds.
  7. i made the switch to a 15" macbook pro though i think i am going to have to get a larger external monitor my eyes are getting bad. the only painful thing was the price, but it's been a pure delight from moment i walked into the apple store. for one thing they can make you an appointment so you have a real person who uses macs to answer your question. i like the whole appointment thing he said i can see you in a half hour and off i went he spent over an hour with me answering each of my questions dicussing pros and cons and then he carried it out to my car for me. and get this the other day i called tech support becuase i was unsure about something we got disconnected and she called me right back. that never happens. i sigined up for some one on one training which will hopefully help me get out of this house a bit more which would make everyone happy. personally i think leaving the house is highly over-rated but i'm the only one around here that feels that way
  8. here's the link i think you can only vote if you have an american express card, but who knows maybe someone will see it and think it's a good idea http://www.membersproject.com/Community_De...165?search=true
  9. I'd like to tell you about "US Veterans Community Centers," a project I created for The Members Project. To support my project, read and rate it at membersproject.com. To check out the other exciting ideas submitted by American Express® Cardmembers across the country, visit http://www.membersproject.com/Community_De...165?search=true The Members Project brings Cardmembers together to dream up incredible ideas for projects that could make a positive impact in our world. If you have an idea for a project of your own, be sure to submit it before June 17. Because in a few short weeks, Cardmembers will come together to vote on which project American Express will fund with up to $5 million. So where does the money come from? It's all about power in numbers. For every Cardmember that registers, American Express contributes $1 — up to $5 million total. So the more Cardmembers that participate, the bigger this thing can be.* Will you send meningitis vaccines to Africa? Rebuild a school in New Orleans? Or support small organic farmers? The possibilities are endless. The decision is yours. Join The Members Project today. Get involved at http://www.membersproject.com/Community_De...165?search=true

  13. i took it to back to the store and they are working on it. so we will see, but what a nice offer stretch, that is really very kind of you.
  14. a new pc it is, looks like next year for me, budget wise. i think a quad processor is what i'll get definitely 4megs of ram with with windows vista ultimate or do you think i should go with windows vista business? tech support says my computer problem is a software problem and they can't help me. it goes along fine for awhile and then it just reboots itself, i am going to do the destructive recovery again, but not for awhile i'm not in the mood for reloading software.
  15. i'm just frustrated. my desktop which is suppose to be monster machine is acting up in all kinds of strange ways, sometimes it reboots itself, sometimes it freezes up, call tech support they said do a destructive recovery, which i did, same thing keeps happening after i reload the software. called tech support back and they said i have to do another destructive recovery but i need to call them first so they can make sure i am pushing the right button, geez that ticks me off. so my next computer when i get the cash is either going to be a quad process with about 4gigs of ram or a mac pro. i need a bigger screen you are right though i probably won't switch to a mac it's just way to expensive for what you get. my friend got an alienware and she is very happy with it, she plays a lot of grahpic intensive games, i don't i just work and work and work, that's why i thought video editing might be ineresting to me, but i don't know.
  16. i am seriously thinking about getting a mac i have using pc's since the late 80's though i've used a mac or two i'm just really tired of viruses and software conflicts and crashes and pc bs. i think i am getting cranky. i want a powerful machine that i can do my website with and do some video editing new hobby i am going to try. i need to be able to ftp to the site and email, content and such. i just don't know how to equate pc power to mac power any advise is greatly appreciated
  17. panic attacks and hyper ventilation are common in my experience amongst ptsd veterans, ptsd is an anxiety disorder i've had this happen to me less now, more earlier on at first i didn't know they were panic attacks and that was very scary which ofcourse increased my panic which made it even worse. first one i can remember i was in a military hospital er after being discharged about 12 hours earlie for major surgery. they kept telling me to stop hyperventilating and i knew i was doing it and just couldn't stop for the longest time. that really pissed them off, which in turn made it harder for me to stop. it was wieird i didn't really know what was going on other than i might be having a heart attack and no one seemed to notice. another time i had one driving into san francisco for a job, right on as all the traffic started coming together, no where to go i white knuckled it till i could pull over and then threw up several times. when i finally started therapy some time later i found out about panic attacks, and that made them a little easier to deal with. what i find helps is: a safe place in house if i'm home, atavan, knowing that it is a panic attack and knowing that it will end. i always have a plan for a panic attack at home or where ever, having a plan seems to help me, always always have my atavan with me, there have been times i've had a panic attack, just because i didn't have my atavan with me and i started to panic that i might panic and oh well you know what i mean. mine have gotten better, have hope brother many have walked in your shoes on a side note my therapist and i were talking about the iraqi veterans and the driving issues seems to be a big one, they drive to fast can not even seem to stop themselves driving means danger and instinct kicks in, i just want you to know you are not alone hang in
  18. i take doexpin for sleep, it's an anti-depressant i think that make you sleepy. it works sometimes and sometimes not. trazedone is a no go for me it makes me disoriented and forgetful and i just can't have that. i'm afraid to take anything stronger for sleep, i worry that i will sleep to sound and something amiss in the house my not wake me. though i have an alarm system and it is monitored by police and fire. i have some weapons around the house, and try to be fairly careful about safety. but still hard to fall into a deep sleep most of the time. i am really trying not to take much medication, though my family doesn't seem to get this, they always say you are so many meds, but i only take 80mg of celexa a day, and atavan only when i have to and doxepin for sleep. that's hardly any meds at all, but they don't listen. it's very frustrating. i'm suppose to go to my sisters today for memorial day and my nephew is driving, i just don't feel like being around anyone. so i don't know if i'll go.
  19. ok it's up at http://www.hadit.com/Dingess-Hartman,_Kent,_and_the_VCAA thank you very much!
  20. do you know how to work with html pages? would you be interested in researching?
  21. thanks i should be able to get it up by tomorrow. i'll let you know
  22. well i'll be doggoned first time i've agreed with anything nicholson said, i do think it is a good idea for veterans to wear their medals on memorial day and all veterans holidays. civilians need to know us, need to know we are their brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, friends and customers. i'm wearing mine, meager that they are.
  23. that would be great berta! if you could type it up in word you can send it to me email as an attachment. if you don't have word, let me know what you will use.
