frank i hear and believe i understand your anger, i think many of us here understand. my own experience with va employees runs the gamut much as it does with other industries, they include clueless, highly motivated, downright mean, extremely helpful, and all over the place. i don't believe it serves us as a group to lump all va employees into one rotten group, then we become like the folks who group all veterans into one group drug addicted, alcholic, worthless individuals. neither is correct. i can look back and see both wonderful va folks and worthless va folks. it's a mix. take a breath and relax a bit let's not turn this thread into anger filled posts that go nowhere and just piss folks off. personally i would not want to go into combat with a rapist or a killer. being led into battle by a homocidal manic seems counterproductive to my desire to stay alive and kill the other bastards before they kill us. but that's just me.

i worked at compensated work therapy for a year it was good for me got me out of the house and around people again, gave me some structure which i needed. i made a nickel for each envelope i stuffed. it seemed to have no impact on my claim. i don't know if this would be the same for you, but i wanted to put my two cents in, since i've been there done that.

you can try the prosthetics department i know they provide some items to veterans

here's the math i'm unclear on, 26.5 million veterans? yes we probably do have 26.5 million veterans but are they all in the VA system ,that seems unlikely, where did the data come from on the rest of the veterans the DOD and if it did, why? that's what i want to know anyone out there know?

sometimes i have trouble driving and i call the DAV van and schedule them to pick me up and drop me off at appointments it is a great service...perhaps they have something like that in your area.

We are all here to learn if it's the law cite the source than we can review it and it add it to our resources.
