I been away for awhile, my LT was being repaired. Once I got it back I could not sign on. I forgot my password and username. I tried to get help on here but to no help at all. I think there should be a better way to recover your name or pass word. But that over I am here now and so glad to be back

Talk to your doctor about this! He might even have some insight for you.
John which Dr. my psychiatrist or my regular VA dr. This is not easy for me to open up about this with my psychiatrist

What is freaking out so bad.
Is it that he is probably Vietnamese ?
Have you been seeing him very long ?
Do you want to change providers ?
Yes Carlie it is freaking me out, you ask why, it because I have flash back when I was in country, and that I may have killed one of his relatives, and I have been telling him all my problems. AND YES because he is Vietnamese. I been seeing him for about a year, but last session he exposed this to me. And yes I want to change Dr. Do you see a problem here? if so please explain to me. Thanks for your questions

I need help here. I was seeing my psychiatrist. Dr. and he told me he just got back from Viet Nam. He said he went to see his family. Now I knew he wasn't and white or black as he had oriental features. But this just floored me. He also said he was from Cu Ci, and that he and his sister went to visit the tunnel under the base camp of Cu Ci. Hell that was where I was station with 25 INF and the 38th ISDP and I have so many bad memories of that place, and other events is why I have PTSD. I DON'T KNOW HOW OR WHAT TO DO this has freaked me out, can anyone give direction on what I can do.
thanks

I agree with both of you, John and free spirit, I remember when I got home from Viet Nam, my wife at the time made a statement that has been with me for years,,"" YOUR AREN'T THE PERSON you once was. I did not under stand what she was talking about. I came home safe, not war wound that was visible. Little did I know what was going on in my brain, or why I was still thinking about the time in the jungle what I saw and did. It wasn't until a few years ago I was told I had PTSD. My response was what? What is that. The army just discharged me and others without even telling us what we need to do. We was left on our on. Now they want to know why we waiting so long, well why did the Army wait so long to inform us?

I agree with free sprit, if you have not filed for PTSD then you should since the Dr. diagnosed it for you. I would think that would put you over for 100%

I have tried to copy this FL13-13 BUT CAN'T. I am in hopes that someone here can tell me how without having to pay for it once it is downloaded on the site.
Thanks,

He is right, tinnitus is rated at 10% total, and the monthly compensation is $129.00.. I don't know where you got your math from, but it wrong. I hope he continue to file for more benefits if he so deserved them. Tell him good luck and welcome home.

congrats Bluehen, if I may ask, what was your % before you got 100%. Also what was your highest award %. thanks. Once again congrat on your win. As others has stated spend wisely and look into what your state has to offer you.

I have had the same saying on all my claims. I to never received any thing like a developmental letter. But did see requested evidence past due. I to could not figure that one out since I sent in all reports from VA and my private Dr. I just sat back and prayed a lot.
-
I read on the net this morning it was 1.5 %, not much.

broncovet this was not an exam just a routine office visit. I see the psychiatrist about every 4 months for a eval.

thanks stillhere, I got 50% without being on any pills, but the PTSD got worst, so the Dr. put me on the pills. I was thinking ( I know I shouldn't), but , since I was put on a regiments of sleeping and anxiety and depression pills I should put in for an increase. So that what I did. Now dang it, I am getting more depress since I may loose what I have been fighting for with the VA. This such a vicious circle. damn it you do and damn if you don't.
thanks friends

To all my friends and veterans I need an answer. I went to the my psychiatrist this morning and I was asked it the sleeping pills was working, answer yes sleeping 6-7 hours a night, was 4-5. He also asked it the ventlafaxine for my anxiety. I said seem to be working. kinder relax more only a few out burst with wife. I asked if he would fill out a DBQ , HE SAID YES BUT DID NOR HAVE TIME. I told him that I have put in for a increase of my rating..... Now here what got me. He said I could actually be lowered due to the medications are working. I told him still have the problems and with the medication it only suppress them. GET this he said he was not a RO just a Dr. I upset now I don't know which way to turn, can I lose my 50% rating?
thanks,
-
I AGREE with the others, you will not get it if you don't apply. I am 70% total with 50 %PTSD, 20% per ear hearing loss,10% for tinnitus. I was turned down for SSDI due to the fact I have not worked in the 5 year range that they cut you off. I was hoping with 50% PTSD I could get it, but then they said I make to much money.. isn't the government great working with. But do apply for it

sorry for your health & problems with the VA, but it is not up to them to decide who you use. I use Medicare and my ins. as secondary and the VA for my meds. AND PR gave you some good advise.

I remember when I was FIRE INSPECTOR with the federal government we had to inspect all the building on post. Now remember most of the building was pre dated WWII BUILDING, or shortly built afterward most was heated by steam which all the supply and returned pipe was wrapped by with asbestos made material. So yes I THINK I WAS EXPOSED TO IT

I just got my VA Dr. to fill out the DBQ, she was really nice about it to. She is the Dr. who first notice I had Hypertension and HBP. She also the one who put me on the meds. I went to my psychologist and asked him to do the same (DBQ) for my MH. He said no, it would take him 3 hours to do it. But he did tell me to ask for all my MH records and that would be better than a DBQ. So I have done that. Now just waiting on them to come. I have been rated for hypertension but got (0) rating so for. Next month I go to my psychiatrist and I will ask him to fill out his DBQ for me, now just waiting on time.

Thanks brother for the reply
