  1. Ok here I am with another question. I am rated at 70% and have a claim in for IHD/CAD from AO. I hope to get the rating bumped up to 90 % or better. I also put in a claim for TDIU, so my question is, under TDIU will I be considered 100%? or will I keep the new rate and be paid at 100% and if so can I file for GA state benefits under 100% rule?

Thank for all who replies back to me

  2. Well I can understand your pain. The Atlanta RO also takes care of all my claims and it sucks. I took me almost 3 years to prove my hearing disabilities. I was told yesterday by my local VSO that now the VA has a new waiting date, it now goes from 18-24 months to settle a claim. Just hang in there, the 30% has open the door, so now keep putting in your claims.

    Good Luck

  3. I think Fox needs to interview Berta and other on here. I know they would get a lot of correct infor other than what the VA or the Govnt is spitting out. The wait that long is appalling. I agree with one of the poster on here ,if we are to take a cut, damn all of congress and the staff of POTUS needs to be cut. and no more vacations on our back.

  4. I am with you Rodger Dodger, I need someone who is knowledgeble in IMO. I have put for TEMP UNEMPLOYMENT, but I feel it will be denied, so I need a very good IMO to send back in to support my claim. My primary Doctor is not experiance with VA or IMO. So I need a sample of a good IMO to give him a heads up. If anyone has one please PM me and I will provide my email to send to me.

    thanks

  5. Today I went to the SSO and filed for disability. To my surprise I was told I was denied. I ask why, the reason was, I haven't worked within the 5 years time frame after I quit my last job. Also here is a question for the forum? How many of you know this catch 22 of the 5 year requirement that they used to deni you and, WHY is my VA diabillity income counted as income to the SSO and not the IRS, which is taxed free. SO I AM SCREWED HERE!

thanks to all my had it friends

  6. Morning Berta, my CUE is on my hearing. I filed for a claim on my hearing back in 84. I was never given a C&P, I was just denied. But since I have gotten my SMR, I have found things to support my CUE. My AO is on IHD CAD, and with that I filed for TDIU. I know you are very knowledgeable in this area, and I trust your thoughts and suggestions. Man I would love fo you to look over this for me.

  7. Ok I will hold off for now. I have a year to file NOD. But I think the AO and TDIU will come way after that , so that would make it moot. But there is no gurantee that I will get TDIU and then the appeal date would have passed. But as alwys, I put my trust in here as there are some very smart veterans here. thanks

  8. I just back from my VSO, I was with him for about 11/2 hours. We found several mistakes the VA has made over the passed several years. UPDATE: in 1984 I was denied SC for hearing loss and tinitus, they just sent me the letter saying I was denied. I being young and dumb at the time said the hell with it. In 2009 I asked that my claim be reopen and it was. I had to jump thru the loops to prove my nexus. MY SMR shows I had slight hearing loss when I went into the service and that was the reason I was denied. I also was never given a C&P, I have documentation from memos from inside the VA to cancell my C&P. I have filed a cue and NOD 2-3 times. still they are said it was preexisting. But the kicker, they grated me my SC based on the that it was agaggravated due to my time in service. My ETS physical shows that my hearing was pencil in showing all "0" (better than super man) in all areas. So I have my SMR show slight hearing going in and granted SC for aggravation and exiting the service showing I have great hearing .My VSO said I might want to send this thru one of my SENATORS OR REPRESENTATIVES, however he warned me that the VA might retaliate and not grant me my TDIU if I show how wrong and flawed the were, and EMbarrassed them in A congressional investigation.. BTW one of my senator in on the veteran affairs board. So my question is, and I only asking for opinions here, should I file this with my senator that sits on the VA board or just hope I can get TDUI. I know the back pay would be large, vs. THE MONTHY CHECK of 100%. I know it all would be nice, and the money is seconary right now, I just want justis.

    Thanks,

    Hollis

  9. Well I was awarded 70% this month, and I have appiled for TDIU, so I know I am in for a long wait. I have not applied for SSID yet, that is coming next week. The best advice I can give, is to listen to what the senior veterans are saying, not only have they been there, they had done that, war was hell and so is the VA.

I live just outside of FT. Benning, retired from there in 2005 from civil service.

good luck and post back when you hear fro mthe VA.

  10. John yours and my brain wave are running in the same directions. I thinking of doing just that. I do like my Heart Dr. but I need that IMO, so I will do some reserach and ask a lot of question who has good Heart Dr.and, are willing to help me out.

    Thanks,

    anyone have any suggestions?

  11. WELL,

I wrote a small note to my Cardiologist Dr. and took it to his office this morning. I just got a phone call from his nurse and she said that that office does not fill out or write anything for the VA. And there will be NO IMO from his office. Man I am so PO . I told them I needed that IMO to submit to the VA for TDIU and explain what that meant. Sorry that all I got. I think need a new heart DR.

ANY suggestions as where or what I need to do now?

    thanks,

    old dog handler

  12. I am in the process of getting a IMO from my heart doctor. What I have done is type up a letter to him explaining what is needed for me to get TDIU.I even explain what that stood for, as I know he didn't. I also made note that the wording he use is very important as the VA looks for words to say no and deny. I hope to get to him in the morning. any advice as what I might need to tell him?

  13. Well John I went to the VA hospital and did a ultrasound on the kidneys and spoke with the Kidney Doctor, she said I was OK, as for as my kidneys. But was concern that my stream was weak, and I need to see my regular Dr. for a reference to a Urologist to check my prostate. All this will be done next week, this week is busy with replacing the house AC and heat unit, fixing the comode that is /was leaking and find out why the kitchen light isn't working. But thanks for the heads up

  14. OK I was awarded 50% for PTSD, the VBA actknowledge that I was a veteran in VN booths on the ground. And said I might want to file a claim for AO. Well I went to the VSO this morning and we went over all that was in the brown envelope package. I was not denied for hypertension but just not given a rating for it. So under the new claim, I included it as being under control by meds that my VA Dr had prescribed. And that is the reason it was low when I went to the C&P. David, my VSO suggested I put in for unemployabliity, which we did, so now te long wait begins. SO IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD KNOW AND ASK FOR?

THANKS FOR HAD IT AND ALL MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS ON HERE, WHERE WOULD WE BE WITHOUT U
