  1. Even for just the procedure area? Because it would seem that any complications arising from the procedure should be covered under something. That is all I am trying to get.
  2. My grand daughter had joined the Army and went to boot camp. While there she developed pain in her abdomen. She could not start training while there and was sent to the base medical center where they said she had cysts on ovaries. They performed her surgry to remove them and she was on base for approximately 1 month. After the procedure was done, she was still in pain and letting the doctors know about. Two weeks ago, she was sent home with the "uncharacterized" discharge. My question is this since she is still in pain, the same as when she was on base, what can we do to get medical attention for her? Should they not cover the area that the procedure was in? any help would be appreciated.
  3. I had my C&P yesterday for IHD. I took in my records from my heart Doctor and Hospital. He used my records for all of his information. He only took Blood Pressure and listened to my heart. On the way out he said I should hear something in 5-6 weeks. I hope he is right Gunny
  4. Pete I am sorry for your lost. Please be careful on your trip. Gunny

  7. I have been using the Dallas VA for all of my med needs since 2000. I have never had a problem with them. I also get all of my meds by mail with no problem. If I order late it is my problem. I have no problem with the VAMC. It is the VBA that is the problem. Lots of luck on your meds Pete. Gunny
  8. I received an answer that said "Your claim is with the authorizer, waiting to be finalized. You should have a decision in approximately 10-14 days," Does this mean that at least some protion of the claim will be awarded? Thank for any information. Gunny
  9. Berta I went though boot camp at SD in 1961. The uniform fits the time. If he shot expert in boot camp he would have had his expert badge. The uniform is trops, not the green utilities. It is typical of the time. Gunny
  10. Vike 17 I have tried to read all of your posts on Hadit. I always found something to learn from your posts. I just hang around in the background trying to learn. I really hope to see your posts agin as you are a great asset to this site. Gunny
  11. I had a brace put on my right ankle in Dec 2006. I filed for the allowance the same day. I received a check for $641.00 last friday. I thought I would have to wait till Aug. But it came in. Gunny
  12. 12/10/06 I went in for a C&P for hearing for which I am rated SC at 0%. I had my hearing aids for 5 years. They fitted me for new ones that same day. They kept the old ones on record as back ups. They did this so the old ones could be repaired if needed in the future. All in all the audio lab is nice to deal with at the Dallas VA. Gunny
  13. Larry I just had 3 C&P at the Dallas VA hosiptal. One was for hearing. It took one hour I reported in 7:30 AM. The next week I had two one at 10:30 AM and one at 11:30 AM. I got in at 10:30 AM and was out by 11:30 AM. Both was done at the same time. All of my letters for the C&P said to be prepared to spend all day. I believe it is standard wording. Gunny
  14. Thanks for all of your replies. I see that this claim can get very complex. I am still working and I want to work for a few more years if my health will let me. I really don't want to get 60% for PTSD at this time. I am mainly trying to get my PTSD SC at this time. The VA MH doctor has connected it to my service. I put in my claim on advise from My TVC SO. The Ro has sent me the claim package and wants to know my stressers. I don't mind that as I can prove them and so can they. Two on the ground and I earned the Combat Air Crew Wings (Insignia) with multi Air Medals. My question is should I just show one or all three stressers? I have other claims pending and I don't want to get IU at this time. I am luckly as I work for a small family ran company. No bennies but good pay. Gunny
  15. Vike 17 Thank you. I value your inputs as they always make a lot of sense. Gunny
  16. Carlie Thanks that help. Two mos ago I put in claim for PTSD. The PTSD was tied back to combat duty in RVN. I do have the stressers to show. I hope to get at least 10% as my GAF is too high. Gunny
  17. Ralph I like the brig ideal. But it needs some Fu**** Ov** Marine vets as guards. Gunny
  18. I got a copy of my mental health notes today. Please tell me what this means. DSM IV-TR DIAGNOSES AXIS I PTSD AXIS II No major traits of personality disorder seen at this time AXIS III HTN, dyspepsia, claw foot arthritis AXIS IV Severe AXIS V GAF 50 Please help me understand this. Thanks Gunny Sorry, I don't know how to correct the spelling in tittle to PTSDwith edit
  19. Cavman I still work at age 63, I plan to work till I am 70 if at all possible. If I did not work I believe I would also be a hermit. I have never been very good at social events. I can't stand crowds, but I do believe John999 and Army just gave good advise, you must get out and do things if you are able too. There are two reasons I hope to work till I am 70, the primary one is to stay active. Find something to do and do it. Stay active Semper Fi Gunny
  20. Vicki I let the military talk me out of a medical board on my retirement. They said it was best to go to the VA after my regular retirement and get my foot took care of. What a crock of sh**. Not taking the medical board was the worse mistake of my military career. I urge all current military to take a medical board if disabled in service for anything. Gunny
  21. Vike 17 As Jangrin says you have a great knowledge of the VA claims process. I read all of your posts. I have learned a lot from you. I would love to see you to explain the process the way the VA makes it work to deny claims, but I have to agree with John999 that it would take a book to do it. I am looking forward to reading more of your posts. Gunny
  22. It is too late to wish you a Merry Xmas, But I do wish you a Happy New Year and many more to come. Gunny
