  1. I read about Eddie btw. Poor guy. 87 years old Deaf and can't walk and the VA insist he can find gainful employment? Man oh man. What a world.
  2. Duly noted asknod. I personally belueave that anyone with significant hearing loss has depression. Sometimes I almost want to cry when cashiers at stores look at me like an idiot because I don't here them say cancel or push green button. I could go on and on. My medical records show depression due to hearing loss back while in service. I agree with you that some just barely have hearing loss and receive 0%. These guys should probally not be claiming depression if the va did a fair job on evaluating that zero percent. Like I said I was zero percent back in the early 2000s. Nowadays I can't even follow a movie at the theater. It gets worst over time. There will be depression unless your made of stone.
  3. Well. He states all his findings from the exam and then states that he reviewed my medical records and then that the injuries are due from military service. I'm gonna submit what I have and if they try to back pedal then Ill get it written in the format you state. I like backpay even more than winning off the bat. I'm gonna ein this one no matter what. I know it. Thank you for your advice.
  4. I did 3 years with hearing aids. Infantry will let you hurt yourself till you open your own eyes. Lol. They once made me run two miles for a pt test with 16 fresh stitches in my knee. But yes I've already filed for depression and anxiety. Such a battle. Again. Fight for that 0% for hearing loss. Its slmost a financial blessing in disguise. While I'd much rather have my hearing back any day of the week. Just like every person in the world we lose hearing as we age. You lock in a 0 percent eating at 30 years old and you will surely have higher percentages as the years pass. Its one of the few disabilities that peactically guaranteed to worsen and never improve
  5. Kool I got the paperwork from the Doctor. At the very end of the paperwork he wrote that my wrist and shoulder injuries are due to my military service. Hopefully that will seal the deal. Still could end up at 0% but as long as I get rated
  6. My story..... Entered with perfect hearing. Everything 0-15 for scores back in 1998. Sustained a head injury 4 months later at basuc and was knocked unconscioys for several hours. Noticed constant loud ringing. A year later had scores as high as 50 on my 1999 hearing test. Fast forward to 2001 and my hearing for my infantry job had become a nightmare. My scores were now as high as 65 on my hearing test. The army gave me hearing aids at this time. By 2004 my hearing scores touched 70 and my speech recognition test were in the 70s and 80s. I was medically discarged with a lump sum seperation pay and then awarded 0% from the VA. Five years later my hearing seemed worst and I notified the Va in 2009. I took new hearing test and my scores touched 75 with my speech recognition in the 70s. I was awarded 20% for hearing loss from the VA. I then claimed tinitus and was awarded 10% for a total of 30%. In 2011 my hearing seemed worst and I notified the VA. They re evaluated my hearing and saw my scores touched 80 and my speech recognition test showed scores in the 60s and 70s. The VA gave me 30% for hearing loss plus my 10% tinitus for a total of 40%. Fast forward to 2013 and my hearing test now show peaks of 85 around 6 months ago and speech recognition test in the 50s and 60s. I'm expecting 40% for my hearing loss and 10% for my tinitus in 2014. Maybey more if they make me wait a year before the official c&p. The thing is to just stay on top of it. If you have significant hearing loss to warrant a 0% rating then you better belieave your hearings gonna deteriate faster than people with normal hearing and before you know it you be getting compensation. I'm 33. Id guess that by the time I'm 40 ill be at 50-70 percent compensation for my hearing loss and tinitus. Very likely 100% by 50 years old
  7. Thanks. Yes Im gonna see a shrink first to try and document depression secondary to hearingloss. Thats pretty much my last step and then find a good IMO to connect it all:-) This stuffs a battle but if fighting for lifelong compensation isnt worth fighting for then I dont know what is.
  8. Insomnia secondary to tinnitus. Wow! Brilliance. That actually makes sense
  9. Yes I have 21 disabilities under review since june 13. Hearing loss increase Tinnitus earlier effective date Anxiety Depression seconday to hearing loss Ptsd Tbi Shoulders Right wrist Hypertension Sleep apnea Back pain Slurred speech And others I can't remember. Maybe I'm crazy but is sure seems that even when they know for a fact you should be compensated for a disability they won't do anything unless you actually submit a claim.
  10. Ok so I went to a joint specialist a few days ago and he stated that my wrist and shoulders are likely from military service after reviewing my medical records. Just gotta see what he actually wrote down now

  12. Artillery guy. That was the worst display I've ever seen. Wow. Way to talk about hurting your fellow soldiers as well. We are all here to help each other. The guy you just hammered had your back and wished you well. Then you speak of puddles of blood. Please in the future control your self. I was army infantry. Marine Infantry seems to get a lil more cred. Do sent mean I need to hate them.
