  1. oh, ok I see now Did your acid reflux turn into IBS? Just wondering since I have acid reflux Dh
  2. Yeah especially if you're having side effects from your medications. Sometimes the side effects alone will make you umemployable. DH
  3. Writing my Congressman delayed my claim for 6 months while they needed to get my file and all that BS. They, the KIDS that work at Congressman's office, did nothing to help my claim. I would not write to your Congressman unless you're in dire straits or you want your claim delayed. dh
  4. Yor already 100%. There's no fish left to catch. DH
  5. A total disability rating may also be assigned on an extra-schedular basis, pursuant to the procedures set forth in 38 C.F.R. § 4.16(:D, for Veterans who are unemployable by reason of service-connected disabilities, but who fail to meet the percentage standards set forth in section 4.16(a). Just wondering if any here on Hadit has gotten TDIU on extra-schedular basis when minimum percentages weren't met? I know this rule exist but I have never heard of anyone succeeding in this. Thanks for any input, DH
  6. Carly, wouldn't this go without saying though? Doesn't the VA know already the vet wants the highest rating possible? DH
  7. nah, just medical notes that SSA would have and doctors reports they used to grant SSD. VA just wants to make sure or not you have SSD for same service connected conditions or if there other conditions involved in the SSA decision. DH
  8. Congrats, Dont mean to bend the topic at hand. I find it amazing how stress has an on and off switch. I definetely notice it in myself. Stress switch is ON: I lose connection with the ones that matter the most. Off: When i'm with my family and everyone is getting along. DH
  9. Just keep the faith and don't quit on life. that's the main thing....dh
  10. LOL......should have known....thought it was an outside job
  11. Sharons right, And if you have a valid and proven stressor in service then you shouldn't be scared about the incident in the workplace affecting it. This being you have medical opinion stating your PTSD is from service. DH
  12. Best thing to do is be upfront and honest with the VA. If they find out you're withholding medical evidence you can lose your service connection all together. DH
  13. May I ask, what are you service connected for? What was your stressor in the military? If the only stressor you have is in your workplace then you have a big issue. I'm just confused if your service connected for PTSD already and have an exam for increase or you havn't gotten service connected yet for PTSD. DH
  14. oh I agree letters help...I'm just talking about the form. If you have a medical opinion and medical evidence to back up IU that is most important. I guess that's the point i'm making. A letter adds weight. DH
  15. I called my last employer and asked if they received this form and she said yes the did but didn't fill it out since there not allowed by corporate. She said all they can say is that I used to be an employee and it would be a liability to explain why I was terminated. This form sent out is just a bunch of crap just to prolong the process. In the end it's the medical opinion(s) and medical evidence that gets the IU. DH
  16. I would appeal that even though you are 100%. Why? If down the road they give you an exam the hearing award will be part of the process at keeping you 100%. If the VA decides to give you an exam down the road and the examiner states your IU is partly due to hearing loss you could be in trouble. That is if your other conditions have shown improvement. Heck, they ain't no stress of waiting now since you have the whole shabang. I would appeal but that's just me. dh
  17. that's great news Peb.....I called yesterday and was told they were reviewing my C&P exams and should hear something in next two months. How much does Basser charge? I have hope and love to hear success stories like yours, dh
  18. There is a huge gray area on what's considered political. Unless your discussing one particular claim then even discussing Veterans Benefits is political if you want to look at the big picture. The VA is wrapped in politics just as much as who's gonna be elected to Congress. As long as the money for our benefits comes from the distributing source we all know as our Government then political discussion is at hand. Limited discussion on how to correctly and ethically obtain benefits for those that deserve them is what this site is all about. I call it 'GIVING BACK." DH
  19. Hello, and thank you all for the comments and bronco,.......I forgot that football season is almost here. That will take my mind off it somewhat, except when my team loses then i'm obsessing about the claim again. haha dh
  20. I keep getting this annoying call from this company "online pharmacy." They immediately want my CC to refil my medications. I keep telling them to take me off their list and not call again and that I don't need their medications since I get them free. They keep calling anyway so I bought a whistle to blow their ears out next time they call. dh
  21. I called the 1-800 number earlier today and was told they were still waiting on my VCAA notice so they could proceed...I turned this VCAA notice paper in over month ago.......go figure Today I sent another just in case they lost it or never got it. You know the form that has two check boxes at bottom where you check whether or not you have more evidence to turn in. dh
  22. Thanks Jim, knowing my luck i would get one and two weeks later it would go to rating board. dh
