Question

Sorry I posted this on the wrong forum earlier.....

I received a copy of my C&P exams today...........

Copy Of My C&p Today, Bad News Huh?, C&P 'lingo'

What does this mean?

Exam #1

"I feel that it is less likely than not that her current back condition is related to the fall in service"

Exam #2

"Based on the available information, I find it less likely than not that the veteran's current depression is secondary to her military experiences."

Does this meant that BOTH C&P's are negative??

You have more going on than just a back injury. You have MST. I know some here are much more informed on this than me, but sometimes these things manifest themselves in physical ways like back pain. Any record at all about the MST. Changes of behavior, drinking, drugging, awol etc. This is a kind of evidence of MST. You were mind ^%$%^% by the military.

1994,

Since you are at the AMC, you must have been remanded there by the

BVA.

Correct?

Did you have an earlier C&P, if so what were the results of that C&P.

Did the BVA remand order another C&P for you.

Do you feel comfortable posting a link to your BVA claim.

This would help us quite a bit.

To be honest with you, had I not posted mine and every C&P that

I had, I am not sure the members could have helped me put the puzzle

together.

Betty

Josephine is right on: "your depression is not a personality disorder".

Also bear in mind that a person can have a personality disorder and still have a SC mental disorder. 38 CFR's will back me up on this (have to look 'em up).

You will need an independent medicall opinion to separate the personality d/o from the SC mental disorder. Depression would be more straightforward to service connect than the PTSD/MST unless the evidence of the assault is available. ~Wings

PS The BVA case mentioned the sexual assault, but did nothing to identify that as an "issue" or "claim".

Wings, thanks for the response.

I am just learning what a personality disorder is/isnt. I guess that label was put on so many people to get them out of the military. Its almost like I have two tags (PD and fibormyalgia) that people gave me to get rid of me because I have so many issues that they cant/wont take the time out to define.

I finally brought up the MST during my C&P back in 2003. I had told people that i know but not the military or VA. I am still not comfortable talking about it so it was 'deferred' (at least that is the term that Im hearing now). I may just drop the whole thing and focus on the depression. People are so damned critical of rape victims. Here I am supposedly an advocate and voice for victims of sexual assault/molestation and I cant even fight my own battle. The only evidence that is available is a doctors visit around the time for issues that I was having, but since I didnt say what happened at that visit, at this time it isnt tied to the assualt. That statement is in one of the letters that I received from the BVA, I just havent figured out which one. It may even be in the BVA case. So much to take in. My mind doesnt grasp details that well these days.
