Who Has Actually Done A Reconsideration, What Was The Outcome And How Long Did It Take?

I just wanted to get an approximate timeframe in mind to relax my soul due to a Reconsideration I submitted. I just wanted to know, who actually has submitted one, what was the outcome and how long did it take? Keep in mind, I am still in my first 12 months after retirement. I submitted under the BDD Program. I retired Nov 2008 and my rating was finalized on 16 March. I submitted the Reconsideration on 14 April. Thanks, for reading.

Probably not more than a year, but there is really no way to tell. It is whenever the VA gets around to working the claim. Where do you live and what is your VARO? Some are worse than others. I did a reconsideration and it took 8 months I think.

I provided new evidence and asked them to reconsider.

Filed NOD Nov 06 (was told "there are no timelines")

Found Hadit in Aug06

Got IMO from DR. Bash in JAN07

Submitted it immediatly (still told NOD's take years)

Got tired of waiting

SUbmitted statement in support of claim asking to withdraw my NOD and have the claim reconsidered based on the IMO from Bash OCT07

Approve on all claims 27NOV2007

Just about 60 days from request for reconsideration.

I had AL. They would not withdraw my NOD (they could not even comprehend what I was talkng about) so I sent in the statement on my own. They didn't figure out what happened until SC was awarded. LOL
