Moderator broncovet Posted January 5, 2010 Moderator Share Posted January 5, 2010 (edited) Papa I doubt that news organizations accept money to do an investigation..it would sound like a conflict of interest and they would not touch that with a ten foot pole. That being said, if Bill Gates wanted them to do an investigation, you can bet they would say, "Yes, sir"...probably because they know he could probably get them fired if he wanted too..after all, he owns MSNBC, and billions of dollars of other stuff. Our own government backed down against Bill Gates vast resources and lawyers in a lawsuit against Microsoft for it being a monopoly. Our government couldnt even face off with Madhoff, and let him steal billions for years with impunity, let alone face Bill Gates the richest man on earth. At any rate, you could try hiring a college student to write you letters to the media expressing your opinions..and CBS might just pick it up if it is well written. Or, even hire a couple college students to post a "youtube" video that expresses your opinions, and CBS may even come to you, if it is very good and well written. HadIt.com Elder john999 Posted January 5, 2010 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted January 5, 2010 Change at the VA will happen from grassroots action by veterans. No one is going to do that job for us. Nobody cares but us. Your neighbors don't care. Your congressman doesn't care. Society doesn't care. Vets need to take it in their hands if they really want change. That is what I think. How to do that I leave to the vet community.
Notorious Kelly
I agree with john - there are so many causes that the only people who will act are those directly affected. I didn't see the show (cuz I'm living in a truck B) but I'm sure it's the latest semi-outrage piece which will be quickly forgotten by the masses. RAISE SOME HELL!
