Question

Hello,

I filed for SSDI two months ago. I don't know if this is good or bad? I hear if your going to get denied you will know in the first 3 weeks. Supposedly it is with my state's determination team. Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome.

It usually takes over four months and although a lot get denied many do not. I got mine on first try.

Good Luck

Veterans deserve real choice for their health care.

Waldo,

2/3 are denied on "first round".

I recommend preparing for your appeal now. Look at this site:

Fanatic Books SSDI help

Pay particular attention to RFC forms and Patrick's SSDI Self-Report.

Not trying to discourage you but better to prepare for the worst and win sooner with good evidence.

And don't hover around the mailbox- get out and do something.

All the best!

Waldo,

NO - the above in bold is not true.

If you get denied I would hire a lawyer. This is standard for most and is an industry. Did your doctor say you were disabled for at least one year? That is really a key statement.
