Question
EM1 Sharon
Received a phone call from the va today and tomorrow I am scheduled for my C&P exam. I'm currently rated at 10% for hearing loss but was never rated for tinnitus. Also, I have 10% for thyroid disease. My thyroid was diagnosed when I started gaining a lot of weight quickly and was put on the command's weight control program. My 10% doesn't include the weight gain and it is documented in my active duty medical records that the exam I received was for the weight control program. Also have been treated for depression that my VA psychiatrist has documented could be due to my thyroid problems or ptsd or sexual trauma that occurred during the 15 years I was in the navy. I'm also agoraphobic and have panic attacks, depression and anxiety. My questions are, what do I expect at the exams I'm having tomorrow? Could my entitlement be backed up to the date I first applied for disability? I'm a bit nervous. My original claims date back to the 1990s so I'm a bit out of the loop with this kind of thing. Thanks for any advice/help.
