New Beginning Registering For Va Mental Health Ptsd Mdd Psychotic Features

Well today I called the Va to start mental health treatment. I was informed that I needed to register with patient services. So either today or tomorrow I will go to the mental health clinic to begin treatment. So after I go down there and see if I can be seen and helped I will update the results. Prozac seems to only help me be more social. It does nothing for my violent side. So I plan to stay in treatment until I get this mental situation under control.

Wow. Well my girl been happy ever since I been taken them. So I guess I am lucky. Also I'm trying to be a better person for all them years she stood by me yelling and punching holes in walls.

This is good news. You know for many prozac tends to make sexual relations impossible. You are one of the lucky ones.

I been taking seraquel at night with prazosin and prozac in the. Mourning. At the moment it seems to be working. I'm sleeping all night with the exception of using the bathroom once at night. No dreams really that I can remember. I went to this restaurant with my lady and guess what I wasn't on edge. One thing tho I am sleepy most of the Time if I'm in the house but I notice If I leave the house I'm not as sleepy when I'm moving around. I'm waiting for the PTSD clinic to call me. I meet with my primary care physician June 15 which is my psych as well at the VA. SOOOOO this is my story for now and also it seems my violent thoughts have slowed tremendously. :^}.

Ok I'm taking all three pills. I'm having WIERD dreams I really kant remember. When I wake up almost at the same time about three to use the bathroom. I am definitely hallucinating. I know the things I see in darkness is not real. It's like I'm trapped in between dream and being awake state. Then when I wake upon the mourning I'm a little foggy. My right eye seem to be extra foggy. It could've been because Im sleeping on my hand. My day is pretty cool. A little sleepy thru the day. Still having lower back pain and a lot of pain in my leg to my foot. I don't know if it's related to my meds or my lower back. That's all for now.

Well I'm up to three prazosin at night for nightmares. My gal say I'm yelling and screaming in my sleep and also violently shaking in my sleep. Which I don't remember anything. All I remember is that whatever dream I'm having is wierd but I just don't remember anything. Well my deferred part of my claim moved to gathering evidence. Asking for me to rewrite my stressor and blah blah lah. I wish my claim would just be complete so I can go on with my life. C&p examiners have diagnosed me with PTSD major depression psychotic features. They subscribed me the same meds that kaiser gave me when I saw the psych a couple weeks ago weeks ago. Prazosin they wanted to raise my prozac dose with seraquel. I'm taking all the pills everyday. EVERYTIME I have to rewrite my stressor. I lose it for a couple weeks to a couple months. I have written my stresser over and over again. Oh well I'm still going thru therapy at kaiser and I have a appointment for va primary care physician/Psychiatrist. Well this where I'm at right now. My road to recovery.

EVERYTIME I have to rewrite my stressor. I lose it for a couple weeks to a couple months. I have written my stresser over and over again.

At this point I would just make copies on a copy machine and hand it to them.

Much less stress to deal with.

JMHO

Carlie passed away in November 2015 she is missed.

      Service Connection

      Frost v. Shulkin (2017)
      This case established that for secondary service connection claims, the primary service-connected disability does not need to be service-connected or diagnosed at the time the secondary condition is incurred 1. This allows veterans to potentially receive secondary service connection for conditions that developed before their primary condition was officially service-connected. 

      Saunders v. Wilkie (2018)

    • Are all military medical records on file at the VA?

      RichardZ posted a topic in How to's on filing a Claim,

      I met with a VSO today at my VA Hospital who was very knowledgeable and very helpful.  We decided I should submit a few new claims which we did.  He told me that he didn't need copies of my military records that showed my sick call notations related to any of the claims.  He said that the VA now has entire military medical record on file and would find the record(s) in their own file.  It seemed odd to me as my service dates back to  1981 and spans 34 years through my retirement in 2015.  It sure seemed to make more sense for me to give him copies of my military medical record pages that document the injuries as I'd already had them with me.  He didn't want my copies.  Anyone have any information on this.  Much thanks in advance.

      VA has gotten away with (mis) interpreting their  ambigious, , vague regulations, then enforcing them willy nilly never in Veterans favor.  

      They justify all this to congress by calling themselves a "pro claimant Veteran friendly organization" who grants the benefit of the doubt to Veterans.  

      This is not true, 

      Proof:  

          About 80-90 percent of Veterans are initially denied by VA, pushing us into a massive backlog of appeals, or worse, sending impoverished Veterans "to the homeless streets" because  when they cant work, they can not keep their home.  I was one of those Veterans who they denied for a bogus reason:  "Its been too long since military service".  This is bogus because its not one of the criteria for service connection, but simply made up by VA.  And, I was a homeless Vet, albeit a short time,  mostly due to the kindness of strangers and friends. 

          Hadit would not be necessary if, indeed, VA gave Veterans the benefit of the doubt, and processed our claims efficiently and paid us promptly.  The VA is broken. 

          A huge percentage (nearly 100 percent) of Veterans who do get 100 percent, do so only after lengthy appeals.  I have answered questions for thousands of Veterans, and can only name ONE person who got their benefits correct on the first Regional Office decision.  All of the rest of us pretty much had lengthy frustrating appeals, mostly having to appeal multiple multiple times like I did. 

          I wish I know how VA gets away with lying to congress about how "VA is a claimant friendly system, where the Veteran is given the benefit of the doubt".   Then how come so many Veterans are homeless, and how come 22 Veterans take their life each day?  Va likes to blame the Veterans, not their system.
