0 Founder Tbird Posted September 29, 2015 Founder Share Posted September 29, 2015 it makes sense to me. that the nurse would go through the emails, pull relevant files, triage them and then present them to the doctor for orders. i think the nurse would be considered part of your health care team. 0 RUREADY
it makes sense to me. that the nurse would go through the emails, pull relevant files, triage them and then present them to the doctor for orders. i think the nurse would be considered part of your health care team. then why would it be consider a secure message. My messages has always gone straight to the doctor. Not anymore it goes to who knows who. I maybe complaining about the nurse who is not my doctor. Then the message should be secure to the nurse who I don't know. 0 HadIt.com Elder Chuck75 Posted September 29, 2015 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted September 29, 2015 It's because the nurses supposedly have more time, and the doctors "more important things to do". Vync
0 green
Not only does it go thru someone else, it becomes part of your medical record, you can track the correspondence on healthevet.gov. Any VA staff that have access to your records also has the ability to view your "secure" messages..

How, I don't know.I'll usually get an answer from the nurse that it will be referred to the Dr.Any answer is usually from the nurse, but on rare occasion, from the Dr. Edited September 29, 2015 by Chuck75
