1. My Claim Finally Moved In Ebenefits, Too Good To Be True?

   So, my claim for an increase with IU has finally moved from gathering of evidence to preparation for decision today after 19 months of sitting there. Does anyone have an idea how long it takes when it has actually gotten to this point. I know it varies but I am hoping we aren't talking another 6 months!

4. Should I Assume Iu Was Denied?

   Both of my claims moved to complete today. The one to add my daughter and the one for IU, I was already rated at 70%. My award amount increased only by the dependent amount and there is no new payment on ebenefits. Should I assume that the IU was denied or do some claims take longer to show up in the monetary award? I am freaking out to tell you the truth!

5. Backwards From Preparation For Notification?

   My claim moved from Preparation for Notification back to Pending Decision Approval, I know that there are points that a claim can move backwards but I thought this was a little strange. Should I take this as a good sign of approval or what?

7. Houston Surprised Me!

   Last Wednesday, August 22, 2012, I stopped by the Houston VARO after my physical therapy appointment at the VAMC, I checked in, got my "#" and waited my turn to submit some paperwork. Afterwards I went to see my DAV vso. This morning at 7:40 I was surprised to get a response to an inquiry I submitted through "peggy" that was done a week ago. Later I checked ebenefits and to my surprise under items received was a list of what I had taken to the VARO! It only took Houston three and one-half days to post to ebenefits. But since it was related to a hardship request, that could be the reason.......

9. Games Being Played

   So i visit my RO in Seattle today my vso tell me that the va says my claim was ready to work july 22 2012 until then it has been 660 days with no movement. Now the vso tells me that my claim folder went back into the file cabinet on aug 9th 2012 the completion date is aug 22,2012 guess what's gonna happen next? the completion date will change to sept 22,2012 and so on i am so sick of the games they are playing!! i want to give in and tell them to quit the claim.

10. Location Of My Va File Question

    Hello all, I just got my initial claim for disability a couple weeks ago. I retired from Washington state and moved to Oklahoma. My ebenefits has always said under the jurisdiction of San Diego CA. I went ahead and turned in paperwork for additional dcontentions to San Diego then I get this letter from the Muskogee va here in ok that they received my claim. Ebenefits says Muskogee also. Is this normal for my packet to move around like this? If so, I sure hope things are faster at this branch !! Take care all.

11. Nervous Today

    Today i checked ebenefits and for a few hours i got this message Compensation and Pension Claim Status Error We are currently unable to access information about the claims you have filed with VA. If you need help, please call 1-800-827-1000. then just a few mins ago i checked it again and now my claim does not show up? any idea what this could mean i was in the pending decision stage. 12. Pending Notification

    Just curious but, I see where a lot of people normally see movement on their claim shortly after it goes into preparation for notification within in days sometimes. Would anybody know why mine may be taking a bit longer? Could this be a good thing? Thanks for reading...

13. What Does This Mean On Ebenefits?

    I was on Ebenefits looking at the Exams Appointment Calender and I noticed a right above the calender "View Appointment Requests" which is a link . I never seen this before or was just blind to see it. So I clicked the link and it shows this: Date Requested by VA Benefits Office | Date Completed and Returned to VA Benefits Office | Request Status August 2, 2012 10:48am What does "Date Requested by VA Benefits Office" mean? If it means I had a C&P exam on this date then they messed up big time because I never received an appointment card for it.
