Blood Clots And Varicose Veins Rating
I have Deep Vein Thrombosis (blood clots) in both legs and varicose veins in both legs. The VARO rated then all together as 10% Left and 10% right leg. Should I not have received a 10% for each condition on each leg or at least 20%? Also, I am SC 30% for depression they lumped my sleep disorder into the depression. I would like to know if that should be a seperate rating. Thanks

Got A Letter From The Va
I got a letter from the VA today telling me about my previous award entitlements from 2003 to the present. It shows my entitlement amount and payment start date. I never asked for this information. However, I am still waiting on a decision on my claims which I was told was being reviewed by the Director's office of the RO and they have been reviewing my claim for three weeks. Can anyone tell me why they would send this information to me?

How Do I Enable Email Notification Of Replies Without Replying Myself To A Thread?
Is there a way to add a thread to your subscription list without replying to it yourself? There are a couple of threads I am interested in following but I don't know how to do so without replying and clicking the enable email notification of replies button. Because of my own inexperience I really don't have much to add to many of these threads other than support and encouragement (always nice, but I suspect a lot of folks at hadit are like me and want solid information we can use for our claims) but sometimes reply just to be able to track the thread. Please let me know how to track a thread and add it to my subscriptions without having to reply to it. Thanks, …

Award Letter Says Sc Has "permanently Worsened"
Got my award letter from my VARO DRO review from my NOD and they say on two of my SC conditions they have "permanently worsened". They are refering to migraines 30% and depressive disorder not otherwise specified 30%. So why didn't they grant me a higher rating? On the summary of their decision for both SC they say "This is a full grant of benifits sought on appeal for this issue". By them saying permanently worsened I assume they mean these two conditions will never get better???? Confused as why they say this is a full grant when I didn't get the highest %. Thanks.

ptsd My Ptsd C&p
My C&P results for medical (mostly heart problems) have not been released. As I said before I am presently 30% for PTSD that was awarded in 1991 or 92 but I never knew you could have it reexamined for an increase. I am 60%. I'm just trying to do some quality of life and financial planning as my wife will soon be incapacitated due to breast cancer. I would greatly appreciate any advice from anyone with experience on PTSD rating on what I might expect. Anything from worst case scenario to best case. Axis I: PTSD with secondary major depression. Axis II: None identified Axis III: Disabetes, broken knuckle, depression, PTSD, pulmonary, cardiac, cataracts…

My Va doctor has said I have chronic pain syndrome. He put in the report "fibromalgia ??". Just like that, he said he thought I might have it, due to all my back problems and wide spread pain, oh yeah he left that out of the report too. Can I fill a claim on what he did say? I have done some research and it sure sounds like me. But that all I have to back it up. I am sc for neck, back, arms, headaches. Anyone hav any suggstions?

hypertension Ptsd Award
All, received my packet from the VA today. They awarded PTSD in my case at 30 percent deferring sinuses, migraines and hypertension. My GAF at the C&P was a 50 but he concurred with PTSD. I am not sure this is the proper award or not. Would like to hear from others. Award date is back to Aug 30, 2006 when I applied.

Work In Progress
After two weeks I finally got in contact with my American Legion Rep at the AMC. He said that my seven year old IU claim (two years at the AMC) is work in progress. Has anyone ever heard of this status? I ask if this ment I should hear something in about 30 days and he said " no, probably longer". My question is has anyone ever heard of this work in progress status before or do i need to do a writ or should I notify my state congressman or notify the news media. Any and all ideas will greatly appreciated. BIGPAPA92

I’m making a list of meds with side affects that affected me (MDD only), do I list the dates (to and from) when I took them or just let the VA find them? I know the dates and they do coincide with my side affects.

Plavix And The One Year Rule ?
has anyone come across this at the va yet I tried to get my usual order of plavix refilled but the va refuses to refill it .they said the new rule states that plavix or drugs like plavix will only be given by the va for one year reguardless of whether or not your cardilogist says you need them , unless you have had a stroke then they will continue to give you the medication. the va stated that if i my outside cardiologist whated me to continue the plavix then i will have to buy it outside of the va system.
