Going To My C&p
Well, I guess Wednesday I'll manage to get down to VAMC Dallas for my C&P on my hip and knee. I just wish that I could get some real HELP with my hip and knee and ankle. My hip is getting so bad (painful) that I can't sit without pain. Used to be, when my ankle hurt so bad that I couldn't stand on it, I could sit down and get a little relief..........now, I'm just changing locations of the pain, from my ankle to my butt. Oh well, what the heck. Wish me luck, that I might at least have a decent examiner. My wife is going with me and that is a great relief. She's a really good R.N. and I intend to take her into the exam rooms with me, if for not other reason so t…

Just Had C&p
My son just called about his C&P done in Charleston, SC. Now we are very discouraged!! The VA called on Monday this week and said they had set the C&P up in Charleston SC since that is the closes VA to where my son has been staying since last fall. His file is still in the RO in St. Louis since we didn't want to move it at this point The C&P was for his Cancer and Polycythemia Vera [ Bone Marrow Disorder] The C&P DR was in Occupational Medicine [ We at least thought it would be done by Hematology/Oncology Dept.] The whole Exam took less that 15 min's and the Dr ask only 3 questions related to his Cancer. My son ask about his Polycythemia Vera and the …

Imo Or Treatment Records
As we discussed in the other post about IMO's this is a medical summary which was provided back to my Tricare family Doc, for his use to justify the continued refferals to the neuro and upcoming hospital test and exams and possible operation. No basis for his opinion except for his objective findings. I sent it to va to support my claim but they did not use it based upon the incredible rating they gave me. The Dejerine Roussy is already service connected however, they failed to rate it for the seperate body areas and simply gave me an overall 10 percent rating. Hope I can upload this. Let me know what you guys think. hmmm can not get any of my special functions …

Vets Service Officer Sues
http://vawatchdog.org/07/nf07/nfFEB07/nf020107-3.htm Larry posed 6 different links to all this- I havent read any of this yet- except this: "Nebraska's Veterans Administration Regional Office representative, Pat Prieb, told Nebraska veterans service officers at a regional meeting that Nebraska has the highest amount of veterans represented by private attorneys -- more than California, Texas or Florida." (The VSOs are apparently concerned over this and dont get enough VA claims- HA! What do they think it will be like after June- if a vet org cannot validate its existence with a reasonable accounting of sufficient claims they filed and pursued ----- jobs f…

ptsd Ptsd And Uncontroled Symptoms?
I have been on Hadit.com long enough now to ask a question that I'm ashamed to ask, but I understand that most of you have more experience in dealing with the symptoms of PTSD, as well as so many other mental diabilities, than I do. I was raised by a dad who is now 73 years old, and an Army SGT. who is as hard as "woodpecker lips" and I was raised as a boy to never show my emotions in front of anyone. Well, I was wondering if some of you who have, or have worked with those who have PTSD, have times when you have outburst in to "weeping" for no apparent reason. I'm not talking about just crying a little...I'm talking weeping that you can't stop. I am so embarresed …

Mental Health Records Destroyed After 5 Years?
Hi, I read this on one of the BVA cases. This is something that I didn't know. What do you all know about it? http://www.va.gov/vetapp06/files3/0619822.txt Citation Nr: 0619822 Decision Date: 07/07/06 Archive Date: 07/13/06 DOCKET NO. 05-35 363 ) DATE ) ) On appeal from the Department of Veterans Affairs Regional Office in St. Petersburg, Florida However, the SMRs do not include mental health records, such as psychological evaluations and other mental health consultations. Such records are normally retained by the facility that created the record for 5 years before the records are destroyed. While the mental health records concern…
