ptsd Stressor Letter For Anxiety With Depression Claim
Hi, It was my opinion that only PTSD claims the veteran needed to write a stressor letter. Are you susposed to write a letter for an anxiety with depression claim? My whole service was a stressor. Do I need to write a separate paper. Thanks, Josephine

ptsd Question On Filing An Appeal
Hi everyone, I'm a newbe so be patient. My wife filed for claim last year for Military sexual trauma and got denied. She did introduce a stressor letter and all the evidence she had, also been diagnosed with PTSD. But as you know there is a lot of candy coating going on in the evidence, she didn't report the rapes that occured for fear of retalliaton. She does have newer evidence of being in the hospitol the times of the incident for suicide and being depressed. But nothing indicating rape. Her captin did write she was being harrassed by other soldiers because she was one of a few women on post. Plus some of where he said he would transfer her and/or get her out of th…

Service Officer
My husband asked his SO if he had a copy of the (mental)C&P exam done last June. Here is his response... "You should be able to get a copy form the records section at the hospital unless the examiner specifically said not to release the exam in which case the VA could not release the copy in the C-file either." Would the examiner ask that your exam not be released to you and if so, why? He's trying to determine whether to nod the decision or not. Thanks, sbrewer

ptsd Iu Status Chanded
I have an appeal for ptsd that will be two years old in feb. 07. (50%- 70%). I have a nod on a rt. knee injury, I filed seven months ago. I filed for IU about six months ago. I also have a claim for tennitis. meniers, and vertigo prepared and ready to file. ( A strong case documented from service to date.) When asked why I hadn't filed before, It's simple. I never knew I had a case until I filed for ptsd, AND JOINED THIS FORUM where I was encouraged to get a copy of My medical records. They clearly showed I had significant hearing loss while in service. So I have a stack of medicals a 1/2 thick to send with that claim when I file. I talked to the RO just befo…

tdiu Questions
Berta, you said on the TDIU form, “Under # 18 they mean SSA benefits as well as any other disability retirements benefits” I have no SS disability, the only monies from them is what I paid into, (my retirement) is this to be put on line 18? How much weight does the VA give on the meds side affect issue, some of the meds the local hospital has given me has side affects that I DID complain about after taking them. One says, “may cause a cough,” I complained about a cough several times and they tested me for COPD. Of course the tech did the test twice to get an “average”. The average was within in limits! A lot of side affects said, may cause dizziness, when picking up my…

Talked To Va Today.
As I said earlier I was told by a VA letter recently that my new claims would be completed before my appeal, that was filed a few days earlier than the claims. So I called today and the lady said the screen reads the appeal " Is scheduled to be looked at on Sunday, January 14." Go figure....things change by the moment. I then ask if the 2 most important pieces of evidence (doctors letters) show on the screen. She comments, you have a ton of stuff on the screen here, but I don`t see those listed. So if my appeal is seen on the 14th there is no way I can see my c-file before that, so I guess my only option is to go there again and get copies stamped of the letters. (again…
