C&p Exam In Process
Well first post to the forums so here goes. I served on active duty in the AF for 11 years. during my service I developed Cluster Headaches. I received PCS orders to Korea and was sent to the Board and was medically seperated with severance pay and 10% disability. They pushed me out the door and I did not have a seperation physical because there was not enough time and they could not delay the seperation date. Ok so I am told to go to the VA for care and get a disability rating while on TRDL. 1 year later they officially seperated me. I received a 30% rating and had to wait for the amount of my severance to be recouped. Well during this time I have been in to see the docs…

C&p Examiners Notes For Cfs Increase
Hey folks, I am currently rated 10% for CFS and filed for an increase a while back. I had a C&P exam a couple weeks ago and I just received the C&P examiners notes from release of information. Based on the examiners 3 comments below, does anyone have an educated guess as to what my new rating might be? I have posted the rating criteria below, and I keep coming up with a 60% rating. Notice that the examiner states "to less than 25%" and not "by less than 25%"- makes a huge difference! Thanks in advance for any comments you may provide, Trigga................. Examiners notes: * " The veteran complains of decrease in activity of greater than 75% due to…

Military Hospital Records
I am trying to find a record of my Clinic visit from Hurlburt Field in 1989. I was sent to sick call because of a shoulder problem from excessive pushups. I was seen by a doctor but there is nothing in my medical records. Would hospitals have a record of this visit and how would I go about getting a copy to support my VA claim for SC shoulder injury. We did push ups everytime we went into a classroom and everytime we left and the pushups we did just because the instructor wanted us to. probably 10,000 in the 90 days i was in tech school. But I have been paying for it ever since. I filed a claim for shoulder injury 6 years ago but was told my medical records did not suppo…

Hissa Grant
Greetings, after I reciived my rating of loss of use of both feet, the VARO granted me auto grant and housing grant. My housing grant officer also informed me that I aslo qualify for a HISSA grant. He gave me the form and I sent it to the VAMC not VARO. Along with our plans, bids, ect. For new bathroom downstaires (ADA approved) I sent all this info to the VAMC about a month ago. I called yesterday to the VARO checking up on a couple of claims and the rep informed me that my HiSSA appication was now with finance. I am unclear on what this means. I thought the VAMC handles the HISSA grant. Doe anyone have any advice? Thank you all. God bless & Merry Christmas. …

Varo Re-hires Mf
Men and women- the Veterans Administration -Regional Office in Buffalo- after 2 Iris inqueries-this AM - has told me that my IMOs still "have not been received". They were part of the Remanded claim from the BVA in Sept and my new vet rep sent the August 2006 one in with a 4138-(I sent it in again too)I have sent the 2004 IMos in 12 times- RC told me yesterday they never had a SF 95 claim like mine over missing IMos and have to figure out yet whether it is tort basis or not- I have additional evidence that it certainly could be. I dont care about that-at this point-RC only has a temp file and the IMos certainly aren't there-I checked. Am I nuts? Does it appear…

tinnitus Went For Tinnitus C & P
I went for the tinnitus c & p at the V.A. hospital. After I drove 50 miles and parked a mile away I got in there and was informed I was instructed to come there for my travel pay only. I was given $8.00 and sent a couple miles away to a civilian audiologist. I was asked a few questions by a young trainee. It was totally not right after I had planned on what to say the correct way and wasn`t able to talk about how I got tinnitus. I tried to mention mortars, artillery, rockets, b-52`s, machine gun fire, tank fire etc. She wrote down exposed to missles. Then I was put in the hearing booth and told I had decent hearing and a report would be sent to the V.A Goodbye. C…

Stolen Valor Act (anti Wannabees)
From Colonel Dan Cedusky email: WASHINGTON - A bill mandating tougher punishment for military imposters gained final approval from the House on Wednesday, and will now go to the president to be signed into law. The legislation, dubbed the "stolen valor act," calls for up to six months in prison for anyone who falsely claims to have earned a military honor, and up to a year in prison for fraudulently wearing a Purple Heart, Silver Star or other high military honor. Both crimes would also be classified as felonies, which can carry additional penalties such as limits on gun ownership and disqualification from certain public offices, depending on the state. …

tinnitus Tinnitus C&p
Last wed. I went for a hearing and tinnitus C&P. I was asked if I had tinnitus all the time or if it came and went. I answered that it was intermittly. I also stated I had to have the TV on at night so I could sleep. The TV masked the ringing in my ears so I could sleep. I also asked if she could let me know when she switched ears so I would not answer on the ringing in my ears. She did let me know what ear she was on. Also let each tone go 4 times so I could tell what was hers and not the ringing in my ears. I had a hard time when she masked one ear with noise. My hearing lost is SC. It is rated as mild to severe in both ears. I don't expect any comp for hearing los…

Committee On Presumptive Illness-cost Containment?
I have attached a web address to this post about this "MAY 2006" commitee. Does anyone know or have any information about this? This is suppose to be a commitee to look into presumptive illnesses and how to contain the porported high costs for those veterans who recieve benefits for exposure to dioxins, and the like. I found this while researching. Is this committee still working? Anybody have more info on this? http://www.iom.edu/Object.File/Master/36/0...%2005-31-06.pdf Jangrin

Rating Board
I called the VA today and all my DMII secondary claims are at the rating board including a CUE claim I filed. Does this mean that I am not going for any C&P exams. I have pretty extensive documentation for the DMII claims, including medical opinions from my VA doctor saying the conditions are service connected. The VA says they are going to rate all my claims together including the CUE. They are waiting for one more test on my legs. This is pretty fast so I think I will get SC'ed for the DMII claims and denied for the CUE. I filed the claims in September of 2006 and they are already at the rating board.
