Toxic Chemical Exposure
Steven Buyer wants to help chemical exposed Vets, on his way out the door. “The hard work of the past two years must not go in vain. I call upon the Senate leadership to finish our negotiations. Let’s complete our work. Let’s not forget our veterans and their families,” said Buyer. H.R. 6314 would extend the provision of health care services for veterans exposed to chemical and biological testing under Projects 112 and SHAD, and treatment and rehabilitation programs for homeless veterans and those with serious mental illnesses, as well as extend VA’s Advisory Committee on Homeless Veterans until December 31, 2007. The bill would also extend VA’s homeless grant and p…

I Have To Share This With Everyone...
Ok...As some of you already know. The VA propsed to decrease my rating. I requested a "Pre-Determination" hearing and was granted that. Well, I also mentioned that if my additional evidence wasn't enough that I would still like to attend the hearing, however if it was strong enogh, that I wanted them to make a decision based on the evidence. To make a long story short. I spoke with my DAV Rep and explained the situation, (I really didn't want to drive to St. Pete, if it really wasn't necessary) so he (DAV Rep) told me that he would talk with the DRO and call me on the next day to let me know what was said. Well, I got the phone call and he said "They have agreed to …

tdiu Finally Got My Denial Letter From The Va
Denied for TDIU based on "wasn't shown you are unable to work based on SC disabilities". I don't get how I can fight this? I already SHOWED that. I've been out of work. I showed at my last job that I missed more than 1/3 of each YEAR due to my SC disability. With paystubs to prove it. (Showing short term disability and sick leave.) They've seen my GAF score which hasn't been higher than a 40 in three years. They have my hospitalization records, which show I've been hospitalized 7 times in three years. All I could *assume* was that they were saying "you go to school, ergo, you could work" but they don't seem to be saying that. Can I assume this was the crappy…

tdiu Two Cues Granted At Bva
Maybe I posted these before? They bear repeating: http://www.va.gov/vetapp06/files4/0620947.txt "The Board's decision of February 1982 involved CUE with regard to both the reduction of the 70 percent rating for schizophrenia and the TDIU termination. Accordingly, the February 1982 Board decision is reversed and the RO is directed to reinstate the 70 percent rating for schizophrenia, effective the date of the reduction, and to reinstate the veteran's former TDIU rating, with an effective date of May 1, 1980, the date that the TDIU rating was terminated.
